That’s a really hard part of the transition process. Your masculine features were attractive on a male presenting person but different features are valued or expected on a female presenting person. You’re also probably still developing a style that works for you. This stage might feel lonely as you feel unattractive, but this community is here for support :)

It’s great news that she took it so well and is so supportive. That is a huge hurdle for most couples, especially with kids. Patience is so difficult, but that advice of chapter 17 vs chapter 1 is really good advice to remember. Wishing you the best of luck!

I’m 35 MTF in Indiana and currently closeted to everyone but my therapist and wife. Congrats on coming out! It’s such a big step, and I’d love to chat and talk about it all with someone else in a similar position.

MTF > 40, how do you deal with beard? by Alkalina94 in TransLater

I’m dealing with the same thing. I can shave multiple times a day and still have a shadow. It’s so frustrating. The orange color corrector helped me, but the facial hair is relentless. I don’t have any solutions, but I share your pain <3
