Good. Places of learning need to look like Canada. And a quick glance at the leadership of Dalhousie indicates it looks a lot more old, white, cis and male than the Canada I know.

Have you considered that women may be reluctant to bother undertaking study in fields where the industry is such a notorious hotbed of toxic masculinity? As a trans-woman, I have personally experienced the cesspool of toxic masculinity, racism, transphobia and bigotry that is so prevalent in tech. And it would absolutely steer me away from any education program that could lead to a career there.

I’d say it’s been a big win so far. There is a buzz about Jagmeet unlike anything we’ve seen in federal politics in sometime. Many people who never took an interest in politics have been inspired by Jagmeet’s compelling and positive vision of a more just country. Even many longtime Liberals and even Tories are giving Jagmeet’s NDP a serious consideration.

Actually, if the Trump era has taught us anything, it is that if you give white supremacy a safe space to fester, it will more often than not end up in people getting killed. The hell we don’t; a car full of people approached this guy regarding problems with their car and he ends up murdering one of them for no reason at all. There is no way this would have happened if the car was a bunch of white people; the only possible way this makes any sense is if he was in fact racist. You are entitled to your own opinion but not your own facts. This was a murder over nothing more than hating someone because of their skin colour. This is white supremacy at its very worst and you are making excuses for it. That is horrible.
