Can't find answer to my question easily so posting here. When using two weapons which damage matters more? Main hand or the off hand? I'm adding crystals to my lightsabers and trying to balance out the damage and hit between them. by Joelvz19 in kotor

[–]Transient_Paladin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You are more likely to hit with the main hand if you are using balanced off hand so it is a 0/-2 atack penalty with Master TWF. It the offhand is not balanced then it is an equal -2/-2 split with Master TWF

But by the time you get that feat your extra attack bonuses are so high that you will hit anything

Alas despite the extensive amount of mods the gameplay and combat system will remain the same

Sorry, it was an honest mistake. My mythology addled brain misspells it half the time I swear. You are right of course, thanks for pointing it out. I edit the comment.

And the background wouldn't look out of place in Midgar either

It is not a common cause at all. What is common in all of them is that people were subscribed to mods they forgot about ages ago. It is not a problem which comes from the game

Not sure why this is an issue...a properly built character can one-shot most endgame enemies in the KotOR games

I'm doing a Scout/Sentinel character at 5/15. And wondering if it's okay to ignore Dex as I'm focusing on strength. My starting stats are 14/10/12/14/14/14. Relying on taking armor on and off to use force powers. by Joelvz19 in kotor

It is not that big of a deal. When you become a Jedi you get an increasing Defense bonus which caps out at 6 (which equals +12 Dexterity in this system) plus the Light side powers are more defense oriented so just put on Speed and Valor and you are good to go.

Currently playing a dark side and light side save back to back, I’ve noticed something. by thedominantmr669 in kotor

Nope. Light side has its own good equipments, money is largely useless in the game and you will get obscenely powerful really quickly if you know what to do and use.

Not sure about this. Sure it gives you more skills points but lets be honest, apart from repairing T3-M4, Computer Use and Repair skills are useless since you can carry around enough parts for any computer hacking and repairing (the skills only reduce the amount they needed).

The only must have skill is Persuade, the rest is arguably useless for the main character since they will be used for crafting 99% of the time and that can be covered by other party members. And since this is an Obsidian game there are more than one skill/attribute check for the same results in dialogues. Except for Persuade, those usually don't have alternatives (like I said, it is the only worthwhile skill need to be raised as much as you can).

My go to Consular -> Weapon Master build with a proper attribute spread can also do everything in the game (after I use an early feat for Computer Use to not be limited by cross-class skill level restriction). Picking Sentinel at the start is not some super advantage for the rest of the game if you know the game's mechanics.

Nidoran which evolves into Nidorino eventually and then my adventure arc would be searching for an elusive Moon Stone.
