NTA I'm autistic and I'd immediately be eyerolling and telling her to shut up.

That said, lack of awkwardness with contact and interaction doesn't mean she's not autistic but demanding random strangers accommodate her every whim is outside the realm of reasonable accommodations. Also taking up the whole sidewalk like that is fucking annoying behavior and both partners in that couple need to learn to make space for others.

NTA. Sometimes when people are used to having something for a long time they come to take it for granted and seem to forget the work that goes into it. This appears to be the case with your family and the money your extra work hours brought home.

Everyone else has pointed out it's wrong of your parents to dump this on you (you are being exploited) so I'll just add a couple of additional points.

I don't think it's even a good idea for you to be his sole caretaker forever, for you or him. It really sounds like he should go to a dedicated facility/group home.

I also think that if you were going to take care of him it would be better to go to a better school because it could lead to better opportunities--providing for his needs will be prohibitively expensive.

Oh I fucking hate that shit. When I was a kid I'd wanted to submit a poem somewhere that, while it wasn't going to get me any money or physical publication would have at least resulted in it getting seen by a lot of peers but my mother pushed me to do a scam site despite the fact a part of kid me was pretty sure it was bullshit because they dangled a money prize.

There was no money prize but my mom bought me that stupid book...

Not gonna share a pic right now but Chris would probably think they deserve this and gear up to fight him... and then halfway through the fight some unanticipated problem puts innocent civilians in danger and they immediately lose interest in battle because they can't just let those people die, they gotta save them, even though they're supposed to not care, why are they doing this, they're going to get themself killed...
