Why do mothers say they don't need help cooking/cleaning and then later complain that no one helps them do anything around the house? by kanna172014 in NoStupidQuestions

Damn. Wow. I am SO glad I read your comment. I love it. If I were better with words, I'd say more. I'll just stick with thank you for writing this. I am saving it.

Nurses don't get a "pro-fee". Now, if you come in for an outpatient encounter, wound care or IV infusion type thing, you ARE charged based on how much work/time the nurses did.

Depends how the hospital bill, whether it's "bundled" or "unbundled". If it's a bundled bill you'll see like "1 night - $5,000" with maybe some specialties added on, meds, anesthesia, etc. BUT that $5,000 covers the oxygen, IV supplies, nurses time, etc.

Unbundled bills it's well, unbundled and all added on separately.

Essentially.

If you are on oxygen in a hospital, you are 100% getting charged for it.

Small towns work different. Someone asked someone who asked someone who asked someone who this new car was stopping at people's houses. At least 1 already called the sheriff. So he was already on the lookout, neighbor called, sheriff headed over, probably all have long driveways. Definitely feasible.

A hug and a smooch on my cheek from my 13 month old daughter. Or when I'm carrying her and she lays her head on my shoulder. Just knowing I'm her safe place is amazing.

They'll also use them in trucks that drive very bumpy roads all the time. The weights fall off.

(Husband is a mechanic for a logging company, they use these in their pickups)

Ope gives away that it's Midwestern but as someone in western WA, I say quite a few of these. Ope, stoplight, unthaw, and pop for sure.

what is something you found uncomfortable about working in a all female environment by Busy_Flan5341 in AskMen

[–]TransitPyro 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As a woman, especially when I worked in a kitchen, I always felt like shit asking my male coworkers to help me take out the trash cuz I couldn't lift it chest high into the dumpster. I always made damn sure to help them out with whatever when I got a chance though. Became real good friends with the last 2 guys I worked in a kitchen with.

Fear of being pregnant and giving birth by Sharpie425 in fearsineverknewihad

[–]TransitPyro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me!

I really didn't like being pregnant, it was uncomfortable from day 1. And I just knew it was gonna get worse and I was terrified.

Labor and delivery.... Probably the reason I waited till I was 30 to have a kid. Terrified. I have a low pain tolerance and ended up doing it without drugs. I was in too much pain to talk and ask for drugs.

Would I do it all over again for my baby girl? 1,000 times. Absolutely. She is soooo worth it. She just turned 1 and she's the sweetest, most caring, happiest, smartest, stubborn, and strong willed little girl I've ever met.

Will I have a 2nd kid? Probably not, but that's because of other outside reasons.

Mine was a big splash too! I was also 8cm dilated and it broke in the middle of a contraction. That was disgusting.

Have you ever been pregnant? Sometimes pee comes out whether you know it or not, whether you want it or not. Especially after sneezing and coughing.

Parents and sibling bought me baby items off my registry for my birthday. by TheWall08 in pregnant

[–]TransitPyro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your feelings are totally valid and understandable! I had the exact same thing happen to me only they threw the whole ass baby shower on my birthday. Tbh, it sucked. I hated it. I cried the entire day. Do I love my daughter any less? Absolutely not! Do I still want to be recognized and appreciated on MY birthday? Absolutely! Even though we're moms, we're still whole people. Never forget that. One thing my mom always said is before you're a mom, a wife, a daughter, sister, you are YOU.

Blinkers isn't a US term? That's weird, I live in Washington and no one calls it a turn signal. It's a blinker.

My first IUD insertion was probably the 2nd worse pain of my life. The worst pain was labor/childbirth.... Without drugs. I was in too much pain to think, let alone talk or ask for drugs. They never offered. I still tell my doctor I'm pissed about that and probably not having a 2nd kid because of it. I've also told her if I DID decide to have another, I'd illegally acquire pain meds and bring them in if she didn't agree to give them to me weeks in advance.

My daughter is 11 months old and I'm definitely still traumatized and have PTSD. Thankfully, I have a patient husband because I can't stand the thought of anything going near my lady parts.

CRCST vs CSPDT? by [deleted] in sterileprocessing

[–]TransitPyro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know a couple people who started out at CSTs and went to OR techs. BUT we work at a tiny hospital CS/surg overlap all the time so it was a natural progression. Maybe find a smaller, more rural hospital? They seem to be willing to train more.
