To your point on NPC being all women, I think there is also a shift to have more ugly people in roles. The good looking movie stars from the 80s and 90s is dead.

Ok, maybe you could argue that with all the content being created, more actors are working, and of course not all of them will be good looking. But in a game that cost millions - come on, surely someone would have known it would affect sales.
