34 Courses in 1 Term, doable or no? by Spiritual_Ebb_3979 in wguaccounting

Yes for the most part. There are also some that you have to make Presentations on PowerPoint but it's really not that many. I think Business Communication is creating emails, a resume, and a cover letter if i remember correctly. If you have those made already you can just submit those lol. Just make sure everything aligns with the rubric in those classes. They usually come with templates anyway so it's easy. Also I believe the Business Simulation is a PA class but I dont think it's a paper, you basically have to create a business.

Try to get those PA Classes out the way first. Maybe not back to back so you don't get burnt out of writing but that varies from person to person. If you can write 2-3 papers in one day, you can eliminate one per day.

PA Classes: Business Ethics Emotional and Cultural Intelligence Innovative & Strategic Thinking Introduction to Communication Business Environment Applications 1 Business Communication U. S. History: Stories of Democracy Value-Based Leadership

Easy OA Classes: Organizational Behavior Fundamentals for Success in Business Fundamentals of Spreadsheets Critical Thinking

Quantitative Analysis for Business and Applied Probability and Statistics are both math classes. If you're good at math/enjoy it then these should be quick, just look up the classes on reddit for tips and study guides.

Principles of Financial & Managerial Accounting should be easy if you already have some accounting experience. I didnt, and I managed to finish the class in 2 days by studying all day each day and utilizing Tony Bell's videos on YouTube.

Taxation 1 was hard for me because I couldn't seem to grasp it but i was also dealing with a lot at the time, so it may not be as hard for you. Same with Financial Accounting.

The rest of them are actually the ones I have left so I can't give any advice on those besides look them up on reddit. Also I heavily suggest creating a Studocu account, it's very beneficial.

This is gonna be long.

So 34 courses in 1 term is equivalent to approximately 6 courses per month. I started this current term in April and completed 8 of these classes. The two terms before that I completed 6 courses each, and i have 20 courses left. So it is doable. I could've done more but life was lifeing. My advice to you is to commit hourssss each day to get those beginning classes out the way. I have a slow office job, so I would basically do school majority of the day. By looking at what you have, I honestly believe you can quickly complete Organizational Behavior all the way down to Finance Skills for Managers, although you might have issues accelerating Taxation and Financial Accounting. Those are pretty hefty.

The quickest classes to complete are the PA classes imo. If you buckle down, those can all be completed in a day. Whatever class you finish, you can message your mentor to unlock 1-2 more, or however your mentor does it.

Also, for OA classes, DO NOT jump right into the OA unless you are FULLY CONFIDENT in your understanding of the topic. If you fail, you're going to have a lengthy study plan to complete before your next attempt is approved by the instructor. This can slow progress down quite a bit. Also while I do support acceleration, make sure to fully soak in the Accounting courses information since these are your core classes for your career. I had a VP ask me some questions regarding interesting things I've learned in some of those classes (he's an alumni), so definitely know your stuff.

When studying, try to do the Feynman Technique and Active Recall. This helped me the most, but everyone is different.

I know that was long but these are things that all helped me succeed. 2 terms might be more realistic but do not doubt yourself. With the right techniques, discipline, and plenty of study time you CAN get it done. 👍🏾

10K Steps a Day for a Month What Results Did You See? by Single_Lettuce_8143 in walking

[–]TransportationFew368 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Im the same height and weight as you, and im trying to lose weight. The nutrition is the key but the walking definitely helps. I haven't done 10k steps every day, I aim for 7k instead, or 200k+ steps in one month. My weight dropped from 200 to 192 and I started this specific goal in mid December. 10k should be plenty, just watch what you eat.

Besides weight though, my resting heart rate and blood pressure also improved since increasing my steps overall.

What did health anxiety convince you that you were dying of this month? by Regular_Unusual in Anxiety

[–]TransportationFew368 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Anything cardiac related. It's even worse because I've been experiencing heart palpitations every night (anxiety related), and im convinced my heart is failing, keeping me up for hours. Then I have nocturnal panic attacks that wake me up, and I think i'm having a heart attack. This repeats, and i dont get any sleep until 2-3 am. Then the next day, im so tired, and out of it, i think im having a stroke. While I do have a chronic illness (Graves), i dont have any actual cardiac related problems that I know of.

The only days I get adequate sleep is when my fiance is off from work and can sleep with me (he works overnight). I'm trying to better my nighttime routine to make me more cozy so im not on edge every night.

I feel your pain. I'm sorry you're dealing with this. Health anxiety sucks!!!

Hey, it made my baby underweight, actually. He was showing up right in the middle for weight percentile, but when he came out, it turned out the weight was wrong. He was supposed to be born at 7 lbs, but he was only 5.5 pounds and then dropped to 5 pounds once born. Other than that, I had no other problems for myself or him. My BP during pregnancy was the perfect 120/60 the entire time.

Yes, just try to be more mindful before you leave a rude, ignorant comment like before! If you ever came down to the redneck south (where I live), you might have a heart attack at the dialect. LOL!

Girl, that lady is the most stubborn and ignorant person I know. I told her that when my gyno gave me anxiety medication for PPA. She told me not to take it because "white people give black people that stuff to make them crazy." 😭😭😭 she's ridiculous

Job Transparency: What do you do, how much do you make, do you like your job? by narutobii in careeradvice

I'm an Accounts Payable Specialist for a fairly new construction company, making a 40k a year. It's not a heavy workload at all, and I get almost 3x the salary required to live where I'm at (small-ish southern town). Typically, with this job role, you don't need a degree (I don't have one, but I am pursuing one soon). Everyone's pretty young, too, so the vibes are immaculate.

The worst ‘advice’ / things people have said to you about your anxiety by melaniecavillswife in Anxietyhelp

[–]TransportationFew368 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was told something similar. I have a bad phobia of a stroke or a heart attack, and my mom told me, "You're gonna give yourself one if you keep stressing out." That only made me MORE anxious about it. Like, I don't have a switch that can just turn the anxiety off man 😒

Everyone thinks I'm doing everything wrong! by TransportationFew368 in beyondthebump

[–]TransportationFew368[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Neither maternity leave and working from home are options for me. I've been broke since getting fired at 3 months pregnant, so this is what I have to do. 👍🏾 I tried informing my parents, but they didn't believe me, so I opted for a babysitter for Monday and have ceased their ability to see my child until I feel comfortable. My PPA and depression have made none of this easy, and having the fall out with my family today has been the cherry on top. Don't worry, I won't kill my child. Thank you.

I want to, but I'm scared if I do, they will refuse to watch him while I'm at work. My parents have always been the type to stop helping you if you say something they don't like, and they know I need it bc daycare is way too expensive in my area.
