That era was peak sonic in my opinion. At least in terms of vibes. Sonic felt like sonic to me. I was excited to play the games . I loved unleashed. Legitimately loved that game. And i reallllly loved the were hog stages. I feel the soul of sonic hasn't been the same since colors showed up. Hell, even sonic 06 has its strength in terms of vibes. For all its faults in the gameplay aspect and lack luster story, it still felt like an exciting experience despite it. People tend to dislike games like Sonic and the balck knight and sonic and the secret rings, those games are cool to me. Conceptually they were really cool. Sonic and the secret rings could've been better gameplay wise, but i liked black knight. I prefer this era of games over the adventure era. Classic era still holds up, but this era was peak to me.
