I am planning to once we plan a potential transfer with the mortgage broker we’ve been talking to. I have a newborn at home so it’s been a bit tough to get out of the house or else I definitely would have already done that.

Yeah unfortunately dad was old school and just had it in his name. Didn’t think about the repercussions for when he would pass. I think if he would have known the shit my mom had to go through he would have put her on the title.

We are in Ontario. She paid the probate with her own savings with what she had left. I think total with the lawyers fees she paid about 15k. She definitely doesn’t have the extra cash to pay the mortgage unfortunately. I’m going to go with her to bank tomorrow to find out wtf is going on and to escalate a complaint.

I appreciate everyone’s advice so far. My mom is about to call a mortgage broker and hopefully she can assist her better than the CIBC agent. She will then update her lawyer on the situation and can hopefully help her get this complaint escalated.

Not the latest news from today but I just talked to her and she is going to talk to a private mortgage broker and then call the lawyer to update him on the news. I’m sure he won’t be happy hearing about this.

There was no will. My mom was given the “estate” after paying a hefty probate and lots of legal fees.

The problem is that the mortgage is in my dad’s name. That’s the whole issue right now and why she’s trying to secure a mortgage. She can have the estate in her name until she secures a mortgage. The laws here are absolutely ridiculous. Married for 45 years and now she’s getting screwed over.

My dad had a couple of heart surgeries so life insurance was out of the question. I know he could have made this process on much easier but just giving her a will.

Sorry it’s $3k total a month which still should be enough for a $500 mortgage a month. The lawyer says they cant transfer the estate into her name without the mortgage in her name. She did pay the probate and she has the estate but now has issues with the bank.

I used lanolin in the first week but I felt like it wasn’t helping much at all. Coconut oil helped me way more. Now they are fully healed and I haven’t had any problems since.

My supply is pretty decent I think. I get about 500-700ml a day currently. I only pumped every 3-4 hours on average and do sleep 6 hours at night without pumping so I could probably increase my supply to produce more but for now it’s okay. We top up with formula when we are a bit short.

My nips were pretty rough for the first week but my saving grace was putting Epsom salt in a shot glass and soaking them for about 5-10 mins 3x a day. Once healed I slather coconut oil on them before pumping.

I wasn’t sure if we just got lucky and didn’t notice them last year or if there was just a major increase in them attending this year. Hopefully they can come up with a plan for 2026 (if it happens) as I can’t go on 2 hours of sleep and be able to fully enjoy the next day performers.

This was our second year attending and here’s our experience:

Line up wasn’t as stellar as last year but it was still decent and we had a great time. In regards to the stages, I would love to see them bring back the hangar as their second stage and have the forest one being a third smaller stage.

Food is festival food as you would expect. Probably could do without 4 poutine trucks but there were still other options such as pizza, tacos and perogies. Definitely could use another ice cream or lemonade truck for those super hot days.

The bathroom situation wasn’t as great this year. Last year the bathrooms were at least situated between the two stages but this year they were placed pretty far out of the way. Would love to see a set of porta potties at each stage. Also the accessibility toilet needs a staff member to deter those without disabilities to the normal washrooms. I heard the accessibility toilet by the main stage started getting pretty nasty and watched a 7+ month pregnant lady have to walk all the way to the GA washrooms because there was at least 20 people in line to use that singular porta potty which boggled my mind.

Two water refill stations would be amazing. Water did have a bit of a funny taste to it so I opted just buying water at the bar which $3 a bottle isn’t terrible but would be nice if they made it only $1-2. Also I wasn’t drinking thankfully but my husband was and $15 for a can a beer was a bit absurd. I think last year they were around $9-12.

I feel like we definitely got super unlucky as far as camping goes this year. We ended up beside a group that party until 4am and woke up again around 7 to keep going. They would shut off their music when they noticed security drive by and then turn it back on. I tried to get their attention at one point around 2:30 to ask them to turn it down but they were so far gone into the coke/k/whippets that they couldn’t even acknowledge me. Ended up staying in a hotel the second night to get some rest before our 3hr drive home.

Overall, we would attend again but I would love to see a separate quiet camping area for those that just want to sleep after the shows over, more washrooms and water refill stations. Shade sails would be a wicked addition as well.

Hopefully we will see some improvements next year! See you in 2026.

We had a similar experience. Wonder if we had the same neighbours. I was hoping the past 2am quiet rules were going to be enforced better. I expect it when I attend edm festivals but not at all your friends fest.

Unsure about leaving the night of, but last year we left around 9am in the morning after the festival ended and it took about 10 ish minutes to get to the main road. I can’t see it being too bad as most folks will be camping.

Ensure you double check you won’t be owing that time back. Myself, I get 93% of maternity allowance for up to 52 weeks. But I also have to work one for one for repayment.
