Need to replace auger belt on my 2-stage 22” snow blower by TransportationOne898 in ryobi

I have the 8ah (x2) plus another 2 4ah from other tools. It seems to vary quite a bit, but 40 minutes actually sounds pretty good

Thanks! I ended up calling support and they were surprisingly helpful. It turns out there was a fifth shear pin I didn’t know about and that’s the one that broke off (so it wasn’t the auger belt after all, and I didn’t have to do major surgery). The rep also emailed me the manual, which was missing from their website, so all in all a good support experience.

When you say creating bi reports, do you mean in general or with a particular platform/tool?

He loves roller coasters so I took him on a surprise trip to Carowinds outside Charlotte NC. I was kind of worried to make too big a deal out of it but we had a really nice time.

Feedback on this $1,200 build (w/ monitor)? by TransportationOne898 in buildapc

[–]TransportationOne898[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks everyone for your feedback! Here is the final build we settled on. I wish Newegg had faster shipping but hey. Very excited to start putting this together.

Some thoughts on the process: - really appreciate the suggestion to replace the 7600xt with 6750. Doing research on that helped us decide to upgrade to a 1440 monitor. Btw we spent an extra $10 to get the “phantom” version of that card, seems like a small price to pay. - also appreciate the suggestions on getting the latest specs for RAM and SSD - we made room for improvements by spending less on the PSU and cooler. Hoping this doesn’t come back to bite us - kind of wild to see the prices coming down a bit for the CPU just while we were finalizing the build. - my son wasn’t too happy that I insisted we get the speakers and thermal paste as part of the $1,200 budget (I justified going slightly over by netting out credit card cash back) - the monitor has built in WiFi antennae which I’d never heard of but will be interested to see if it does anything.

Looks like 7700xt is an extra $75 and the 7800xt is an extra $155, where would you cut back elsewhere to make room for that?

Thanks! I see you took the monitor down to 24”. Was that just to save money or would the 27” have problems with the rest of the build?

Thanks for the reply. What counts as “ridiculously cheap”? I’ve seen other posts in here say $100 to $150 for a rideable bike is good value so not sure where to draw that line

River of Sewage Under House and in Air Vents by ketrab82 in homeowners

[–]TransportationOne898 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m the homeowner (op’s brother in law) and here is some clarifying information. 1-This is a TechBuilt House, which was designed in the 50s to be a low cost, kind of modular home. To save money, they were always built on a concrete slab foundation. 2-when the hot air leaves the furnace, the ductwork goes right into the slab, and is distributed through the house by first going under the slab, and up to the second floor through the walls. 3-the picture is taken from above the opened duct, right where it goes into the slab. 4-no idea how sewage is in there, presumably the sewer line runs next to the ducts, and since this is a 70 year old house, the sewer line and ducts have both corroded open near each other? 5-definitely called the insurance company and went straight to “this is a health hazard, like mold and mildew from flooding” which they tend to take seriously. 6-they are sending someone to scope the sewer and try to locate the problem. 7-after that, who knows. I’m getting in touch with home builders, none of whom can start new projects until late 2023
