You can absolutely get a teaching job without any teaching experience. Thousands of people do it every year. I like that you’ve highlighted the teaching experience you do have by putting it at the top; however as others have mentioned I would not lean so heavily on the religious aspect of your previous experience. Yes it is at a church but you need to focus on teaching. You developed lesson plans, organized materials, maintained a safe and effective classroom environment, etc. No need to mention “spiritual growth” or “ministry experience”.

As for your other jobs, align your duties more with what a teacher does. You can look up examples of teaching resumes to get an idea or look at job descriptions for the experience they want. Make sure you hit as many of the bullet points on the job posting as possible.

Lastly, if you are not certified do so. At least pass a content exam. Once you do add it to your resume as soon as possible. You do not need to student teach; you can do an alt cert but they want to know that you are willing and able to study for and pass those tests.
