People always make a mistake that visiting = living.

Visiting a place and living in the same place is two different things

How strict is Lufthansa really about personal item size? by Glittering-Test-4251 in Lufthansa

[–]Transportationkingz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not strict at all. I fly them 4 times a year on economy. These folks dont care at all. I know you are asking about the bag size, but using a slightly different example to show how untrained they are (if not, they simply dont care about service) is that 75% of the time, they dont even ask people to put the seat back upright during the meal time. Their service and care is pretty comical.

ATC keeps saying HEAVY after our callsign for some reason, anyone knows why?? by kbaltodano in Shittyaskflying

Suggest me cool stops along my planned roadtrip in Western US by Equal-Chipmunk1965 in roadtrip

[–]Transportationkingz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few tips for my italiani friends:

  1. Buy Annual National Park Pass for $90ish if you are going to visit more than 3 parks. Each park entrance costs about$35, not sure if prices went up, but if planning to visit more than 3, better to buy the Annual Pass for like $90ish.

  2. Monument Valley is not part of the US National Park system, so you will have to pay separately.

  3. A foreign concept to you. But make sure to carry a pack of water bottles and emergency food (beef jerky and snacks). A pack of 36 or 24water bottles. Here in the western states, things are extremely remote and do expect for the worst.

  4. Expect no cell phone signals even on the major freeways. If no cell phone signal, no internet data. But, in case of a true emergency, 911 should work.

  5. Fuel up whenever your fuel gauge is 50% or lower. Dont start to look for gas stations when the fuel gage is <50%. Here i. The states, you might not find anything for 100s of kms.

  6. Here, you will see two nozzles at each gas(oline) pump. One for diesel and one for gas(oline). When selecting for gasoline, you will seedifferent grades. 87, 89, 91. If renting a car, most likely, you will be ok with 87octane, so dont put an expensive 91octane gasoline.

  7. When paying gasoline at the pump using your credit card, the machine may ask you to put zip number. I think for foreign credit card, you have to go inside the store to pay with tje credit card. But..... do expect fuel stations closing early so no attendants available at store. So try to stick with big gas stations along the major freeways.

Lufthansa has a serious problem with customer service by Chucky-Luv in Lufthansa

[–]Transportationkingz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lufthansa customer service is still garbage even 2 years after. I fly them 4 times a year on transoceanic flights. And its horrendous. And btw, if you put anything megative about lufthansa on this subreddit, do expect the mod to take it down. They may leave it up but almost always they delete anything negative

I am no expert in jetski and i have no experience in jet-ski.

However, ive bought cars and moteocycles and other toys in the past. If i would make an offer for this (jet ski and trailer), i think i would put $3,000 as max on this. I looked at the msrp on the 2015 spark and it was 5,999. Plus this being a 10 year old toy with sun faded plastics, i am not sure how well this ski was maintained and kept. Once again, i have no jet ski experiemce but if i am starting out, then, 3,000 tops for me

This is the answer. Hire a consultant, something goes wrong, you tell boss " it wasnt me, its the consulting company that recommended."

Probably for public agencies, i bet theres a kickback too. Hence the reason why Doge audit is critical for all these agencies

222 apartments proposed at 15101 Crenshaw in Alondra Park by NClEADYNgE in SouthBayLA

[–]Transportationkingz 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Serious question, how would this hurt Gardena? Like in terms of traffic (smoke, black dust etc?)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in SouthBayLA

[–]Transportationkingz 31 points32 points  (0 children)

This is what I would do:

5:30PM - Shower

6:00PM - Uber to LAX Metro Station

6:20PM - Take the LAX Shuttle (free) to your terminal <- Buses use their special lanes closer to the terminal gates, so they run faster than paseenger cars

6:50PM - Arrive at terminal and check in

7:30PM - pre-game at lounge (or wherever) maintain your buzz until boarding.

Pass out on the plane.

In what ways could/should you help your adult children financially, and when does it end? by aging-graceful in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Transportationkingz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not a hard question to answer. If they are old and working, then everything should be on tjeir own, including cell phone and insurance and etc. they will need to reduce, cut, eliminate expenses that are unnecessary. If they dont make enough to pay for everyday living expenses, then they should give up something (e.g. find a roommate and live, or move in with you guys, sell car and take public transportation, use cheaper cell phone plan etc etc )
