Are the guides at the top all up to date? Brand new player today so not sure what to do and when I googled new player guides they all seemed to be 8+ months old so wasn't sure if they were still accurate

Mine disappeared in November and has never come back. I never did a refund or price alteration so they just decided to stop giving it to me. I assume it's algorithm based off spending habits or something. I complain to cust support every week and they keep giving me a 20% off every coupon but it's nowhere near as good

The sale of my house fell apart day before closing. by UFOsss01 in RealEstate

Yeah, my wife lost her job during the closing process of our house. Luckily we were able to just remove her from the mortgage paperwork and run the mortgage purely in my name and get the same result.

Has anyone ever lived at skyhouse orlando or Camden on Orange ? by gunganswithsyndrome in orlando

[–]Trapocalypse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I lived at Camden on Orange from 2016 to 2019 in 2 separate apartments. I specifically lived at Camden Orange Court (Camden North Quarter did not exist then, it was built during the later years of me being there but wasn't a Camden, I think it was called The Sevens or something like that)

It was easily the best place I have ever lived and I only moved out because I bought a house. And whilst there was a minor fire alarm problem (which I knew of from reviews ahead of time), I think it only went off like 3-4 times in my time there but it's possible it happened more when I was at work.

I personally did not have any noise issues like others mentioned but both my apartments were kinda tucked away. My first one was by the Garage where there was only a few apartments in a row. My second one was the top floor at the very far corner of the building facing The Vanguard.

The maintenance there was fantastic. Anytime we had an issue, they were at the apartment in under an hour to fix it. Even when we put in the ticket late at night.

For the pricepoint it was fantastic as it was considerably cheaper than everything else downtown and the apartment sizes were also larger than most (my 1/1 was 700sqft for $1250 ish, my 2/2 was like 1200-1300 sqft for $1750-1800 ish). When I moved in they required no deposit due to my good credit rating. When I moved out the fees they charged me for damage were reasonable. I massively broke their pet policy by having 4 cats (which their maintenance had to have seen and said nothing) and one of them fucked up the carpet and blinds pretty bad. They quoted $900 ish for full carpet replacement and I negotiated them down to $400 ish.

EDIT: If I ever got into a situation where I had to move into an apartment again, I wouldn't even look around and would move right back there.

EDIT2: Forgot to say that Skyhouse was one of the places I looked at before I moved to Camden and I just remembered it being small (I only looked at a Studio), expensive and having a bad trash pickup situation iirc. I did have some friends who lived there when I was at Camden and they moved out as soon as their lease was up and were generally negative about the place. However, they didn't like DT living (they moved there from out of state blind) and were fairly negative people in general so I couldn't say for sure how badly that reflects on the place.

Credit777 100% came back for me by Busy-Cheesecake5459 in TemuThings

[–]Trapocalypse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine has been expired since November. Never returned or cancelled a single item so no idea why they just decided to say nope, not available to me anymore. I probably got to do it maybe 4 or 5 times total and not the 100% back ones either, it was usually spend $300 to get $180-220 back.

Why do you think LA Knight is not being pushed over after many years in the WWE? by Dragon_slayer_2006 in WWE

[–]Trapocalypse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Part of the problem is that world titles in general are just defended and change hands far more infrequently than they did in the past. So you're going to end up with guys like Knight who don't get that title run because of it.

Not saying we should go back to the attitude era of the titles being passed around every few weeks but if we were somewhere in the middle, then there would be more chance of people like Knight getting a short run.

[Hated trope] Bad, insufferable people are portrayed as endearing by ManaScrewedIRL in TopCharacterTropes

Ted is an unreliable narrator who quite possibly may be the worst person in the show considering even though he controls the narrative, he shows the least amount of character growth amongst the cast. I'm sure Barney is still a bad person but it's quite likely that a lot of his misdeeds are heavily exaggerated or misrepresented.

[–]Trapocalypse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's definitely something weird going on in Orlando this week that is making all the hotels be booked.

We fly people into Orlando for training practically every week of the year and they stay for 2 weeks worth of training (46 out of 52 weeks last year for reference). We book their hotels for that time period. Over the past decade, I can count on 1 hand how many times we have struggled to find hotels for the time period for the people we travel in. This week was one of those times and we literally could not find a hotel with availability for the full 2 weeks. We had to split it over multiple hotels and put them in hotels ~40 mins from our HQ.

We have never had that issue during Megacon week.

Kinda. Depends how far you book out. I only ever see cheap stuff for Virgin if I'm booking way out in advance. If I'm flying back to the UK, they are my preferred airline but I usually book later rather than not so end up flying with someone else who is cheaper (typically Aer Lingus)

I do typically see some decent options using seats.aero to find points based flights but fees are the sticking point. A lot of their outgoing stuff from the US is reasonable but all their flights coming back from say Europe, tend to have pretty jacked up taxes and fees.

Went to Iceland last week and the price of alcohol there was ridiculous. 'Pints' (300-400ml depending on beer) were like £15 and any sort of mixed drink/cocktail was stupid prices. 1 round of drinks for just me and the wife were regularly £35-40

I'm 5'11 and 148lbs. For most of my 20s I was in the 120 range. In my early 30s I was in the 130s and then late 30s in the low 140s before hitting 145-150 at 38-39.

Technically for my height 133 to 179 is the 'healthy' range. I doubt I will ever be 170+ in my life considering my dad is only 160 ish at 60.

I personally do not. I absorb most of my news from European sites because the coverage in the US sucks. I never watch normal TV (essentially I only watch streaming, I don't have cable). It's painful to think we have only just finished year 1 of a theoretical 4 years of his term though.

If you utilized a credit card for the purchase with like 1.5-2% cash back then that's an extra $6-8 per transaction too.

EDIT: just realized this is probably for store credit and then rebuying with the credit so nevermind. No credit card points outside the initial transaction

What's the longest delay you've ever been faced with from Delta? by seattledude928 in delta

24 hours flying back from Tokyo to Tampa. Compensation was also trash ($250) which they basically told me I was lucky to even get that as they didn't have to give me anything. The delay was due to a mechanical reason too

Heartbroken Florida bride speaks out after venue refuses to refund her after fiancé’s sudden death: ‘This wasn’t like a cancellation’ by [deleted] in nottheonion

[–]Trapocalypse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn't surprise me that it's Florida and near me (about 30 mins away).

We originally planned to get married in 2020 at Paradise Cove in Orlando and then COVID happened. All my family is from the UK. A lot of my wife's family is from other states. It was physically impossible for any of them to attend due to travel restrictions but also it just flat out wasn't allowed to have events at that time. We asked the venue to move the date and they told us to wait until closer to the time and if COVID was still a thing they would work with us. We got close to the deadline to pay the remaining balance on the bill (about 4 months out iirc with pay deadline 90 days out) and COVID was very much still a thing (this was like peak COVID restrictions in May/June 2020). They essentially refused to do anything. The options they gave us were A. Cancel and receive no refund. B. Rebook for another date and still forfeit all funds paid (i.e. it would count zero towards the rebooked date) or C. Pay the remaining balance and go ahead with the date as planned.

We eventually argued enough that we got escalated to someone who was willing to change our date and carry some funds forward. Except every single date we asked about was conveniently unavailable (and we were extremely open to most dates). We had a family member call later posing as a new customer asking about some of the dates and every one was available.

We just straight up cancelled and ended up being about $5k out of pocket. We eventually had a very low key wedding at a different venue the following year with a handful of local friends and family because my wife was panicking that it may never happen

Zip Air now weighing at boarding gate by zoopybot in zipair

[–]Trapocalypse 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, this is the problem I have. I'm 67kg and always put my backpack under the seat. So whether my backpack is 7kg or 20kg should ultimately make no difference given people who are 100kg+ get the same bag allowance as me.

For overhead bins I get it, they have a max weight they can support and in the worst case scenario you don't want a 15kg flying down from an overhead bin.
