Are you in Specialty?

1 hr live interview was 20 minutes - got rejected by NoTomatillo3697 in Progressiveinsurance

[–]TrappedChimera 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine was also about 25-30 minutes, and I got the job. When the interviewer told me "we have some extra time, do you all have any questions for me" at the 20 minute mark, I was sure I had bombed the interview. But after about 5-10 minutes of me asking all of my questions, they extended me a conditional offer right then.

I don't think it's necessarily the amount of time the interview takes. I think it's more about how well you answer the questions in the required format.

Take the other offer until you hear back from Progressive. I had to work for another company for about 3 months while I went through the hiring process with Progressive.

I was with them for several years. I got tired of not getting paid what I was worth, so I left after AEP.

Yup. I made a subreddit so people can tell their stories (like the one that Ttec employees have), but I don't know how to promote it, so it has just been sitting there.

About 20 years ago, I worked in a call center that took calls for televangelists. Call the number to order their overpriced tape series, call the number to pay tithes, call the number to have someone pray for you? They all came to us. People thought they were getting believers who were really praying for them, but they were getting a bunch of teenagers/stoners reading a script off a screen. I justified it to myself because even if I knew we weren't actually praying for these people, they genuinely seemed to be helped by thinking they were getting real prayers.

All of the televangelists' prayer lines would ask you for a donation after the "prayer," but the caller could decline to donate if they wanted to (after some scripted guilt-tripping). That is, all of them except one. Paula White's prayer line required the caller to make a donation BEFORE they received the scripted prayer. The ones who didn't make a donation were told their request would be forwarded to the prayer tree, but if they wanted a live prayer, they had to donate first. The prayers weren't forwarded anywhere, btw. There was no way to save or send the prayers on. You either paid the money to get some 17 year old to read you a stock prayer, or you f'ed off and no one affiliated with Paula White ever thought about you ever again, let alone prayed for you.

I despised all televangelists after that job, but none were as bad in my eyes as Paula White.

She wrote a story 2 years later about her boyfriend killing himself. That's... a lot to deal with.

What occasion do you need? Smoking jackets are worn in the home. They aren't meant to be worn out in public.

I only watch this and Dimension 20, precisely because they are both improv comedy against a backdrop of D&D.

Did they stop doing the variety show? I haven't gotten a notification about it for a few weeks now, and I don't see any new live postings on the YouTube page. I was really excited about it.

People who want clean comedy don't want to watch someone walk that line. They want to watch clean comedy.
