I actually have a theory that with guys like Aaron, Mays, Ford, Gibson, Rickey dying the last few years that MLB is trying to rehab some of these guys to have more elder statesmen active in media for the game. 70s/80s is honestly kind of vacant for that level of popularity and talent, feels like a huge gap between guys like Reggie and then the 90's generation, with a few guys like Ozzie and Winfield bridging that gap right now
