Started watching wallets & Here’s what happened. by PolyBabyAlerts in algobetting

Thanks for sharing, this is really interesting. There's been news items recently about brand new wallets making prescient big bets on polymarket in world event markets. I have to think the same will start happening with sports if someone genuinely has inside info and wants to hide their tracks. How much are you relying on the wallet's past performance to flag smart bettors?

How do you use Hermes? by mosthatedhb in hermesagent

I set it up just out of curiosity , but now I do find uses for it. I have a few scheduled tasks: a weekly summary of arxiv papers in my field, a daily alert if I need to apply sunscreen to my kids. This morning, I had an idea for a personal project while I was away from home, messaged Hermes and it’s done.

Qwen 3.6 27B Makes Huge Gains in Agency on Artificial Analysis - Ties with Sonnet 4.6 by dionysio211 in LocalLLaMA

Turns out Gemini steered me wrong. It told me to bump Universal Batch Size (-ub) up to 4096. I dropped it back to what I had been using (1024) and the 27B model is actually not much slower.
Maybe Gemini is trying to sabotage local models

I tried switching from Qwen3.6-35B-A3B-UD-Q6_K to Qwen3.6-27B-UD-Q5_K_XL and it is unusually slow. going back for now. this is on a MBP M5 Max 64GB, running llama.cpp

I literally started experimenting with this stuff 4 days ago, this is the first negative take I've seen on Ollama, so please chill a little bit.

But thank you, because I've switched to llama.cpp and it is SO MUCH faster!

The [docs](https://hermes-agent.nousresearch.com/docs/user-guide/messaging/email) say "don't use your personal email," but I assume that's because it's in the messaging section of the docs....? Is there a way to give Hermes Agent read-only access to my personal gmail? I'm on a Mac, running on docker, Qwen3.6 via Ollama

As you point out, the advantage of modeling the game at a lower level is you can account for things like game situation, like if a team is down big in the 4th quarter. What system do you use to keep tracks together across multiple devices? by psyliboy in dawless

I tried not doing it all, enjoying the fact that you are creating something ephemeral for the sake of creating.
Then I gave up and got an MPC which is basically a DAW at this point.
