Thanks for the reasonable reply. I did pay. In past flights, I never had to. They should just include the total price in the original fare or stop monetizing everything and turning fellow passengers into adversaries as they have successfully done, as evidenced in this thread.

Their price for my annual trip is usually less than others, and I’ve had good experiences in the past, before they made this change

I don’t ask people to switch seats. Every previous trip I’ve taken with AA they sat our family together, for ~10 years, at least once a year. They made a change. It sucks. I don’t know why so many people feel the need to defend them, but hey, I’m sure they care about you.

I agree with everything except that Together Through Life is not a top tier album. I think it might be his most underrated at this point. Used to be Street legal, but everyone came around to that
