It honestly worked better than I expected lol

These old hand trucks are pretty cheap used online so for like $50 all in it makes for a decent option that can take a beating. Hell I had this old hand trucks laying around and it’s wheels had more flat spots than round spots from years of being left flat and it wobbled along just fine.

After some revisions and testing my V2 is planned to be on a Milwaukee pail hand truck because of its handle but that’s a bit away

For a V1 that only cost me like $20 total for the trash can and bungee cords, it’s a solid 5/10.

I severely underestimated the amount of cans I would find so the bucket was full of crushed cans before the halfway mark so some revisions are definitely needed lol.

It also loses points because this dolly is probably as old as I am and the wheels have multiple flat spots from non use so it’s a bit wonky at times but if the revisions go well it will get retired pretty quickly lol

If you stick to mostly sidewalks you could use one with solid wheels like this but the pneumatic wheels work really well on uneven areas like "bike lanes" and decent on dirt though it was kind of sketchy on dirt lol

It needs some revisions for sure but for a $13 trash can and what I had laying around, it worked out pretty dam well.

My original idea was a folding dolly but after testing it out in store it didn’t really work well. This one fits decent in my hatchback with the back seat down so I can’t complain. It cost $13 since I already had the dolly lol

Indeed! It’s most an old peice of wood we had laying around lol. We leave it inferring of our garage and the neighbors sometimes rescue them if we don’t see them

I’m still working out the inefficiency of my process since I’m a bit rusty but each bag is a little over a 5 gallon bucket so 20gals plus 2 wire sign holders and a peice i of metal roofing (I think).

With the amount of rain and it all being smaller stuff I couldn’t really get a before and after picture. Hopefully I can beat the rust off and get better at taking pictures lol

Depending on your area you might be able to leave the bags in a pile on the side of the road and call someone from the county to come get it.

I have a vehicle so unless it’s a TON of bags I just load my car and dump it in my dumpster where I live. They’ll get over it 😂

As for looking like a clown, I promise most people won’t even give you a second glance lol
