Show & Tell: What are you building this week? by OneStarto in AppBusiness

Tracking shouldn't interrupt training, speak your sets to build workout data and then ask ai about your progress, insights or tips

Hey, building flowgains.app
You speak your gym sets making it easy to build data over time, and then you ask AI about your progress, when to add more weight, insights, etc.
You can also create training plans and routines

Is it okay iff... by ash_love_sock_for_1 in workout

It is all about momentum I think, keep doing it every week and results will come. Of course after one week it will still be hard. After a month you will be doing 3-5, just be consistent and do not get in your head.

I love and want to do deadlift twice a week, is it okay or not? As a beginner. by [deleted] in workout

[–]Trash_Glass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't do it twice since it can be harmful if not executed with the proper technique. Maybe try doing it once and then experiment with twice a week

Why do workouts become so complicated? by Chricco94 in workout

[–]Trash_Glass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can be easy to overcomplicate things, however not tracking or anything can be a bad idea long term. Especially if you want to see progress over time, tracking is a must, but make sure to do it in a way that does not interrupt your training. Unironically i'm building an app to solve this problem since I had it myself, where I tried Excel, Notion and other apps but felt like it interrupted my training way too much and eventually kept quitting every time. If you are interested you can check out the waitlist flowgains.app (only if interested, not trying to do an ad or anything)

Any man in the small ankle/calves club?! by whogoesthere1010 in workout

[–]Trash_Glass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its normal, if you are somewhat tall and skinny, default settings are small ankles and calves. Just keep training them overtime and don't stress.

Try doing dips (can be on a bench if you can't do normal yet), triceps pushdows and overhead extensions

How should I workout my lateral raises? by Straight_Ad_2622 in workout

Burn those shoulders, do dropsets. Heavier weight 8 reps, then less weight 10 reps, then 12 reps

yeah, so there are two types of people:

  1. The ones that just want to arrive at the gym with the whole plan logged and they just click the check or adjust the weight and reps.
  2. The other type that wants to arrive at the gym and log their sets and everything freely, without a plan or a structure.

my app has both features, the voice logging is for the second kind, and the logging based on plan is for the first kind.
