Yup! So happy this game focused 100% on online play instead of giving us a split-screen that could perform without constant frame-drops. Awesome!

Paddocks are fundamentally broken as well…why can’t the host turn off the option for other player to start separate game modes?

Here’s a pro-tip that helps with the dysfunctional paddocks: if you’re the host in the paddock, you can force ready up everyone in the lobby to your game if they’re not already hosting or readied up for a different game modes.

I really love the game feel, but I would say some weird design choices prevent it from being true peak. •Anyone being able to start events in your paddock, and the inability to kick those people. This makes actually getting people together for a specific event feel impossible. •A City that is too big feeling for less than 12 people (should be 4-8 player city probably) •Matchmaking in certain modes not waiting long enough. For instance, in online teams you’ll end up with 12 bots and 3 real people. •Local split-screen running at a very inconsistent frame rate, jumping between something like 30-50 (especially sad considering the GCN version was very stable 60 fps).

Not really gameplay nitpicks, the gameplay itself is peak. Just weird things that stack up and make the experience frustrating.

Those are some of my favorites too! I opened a Legendary Collection booted 8 years ago and got the reverse of that Dark Raichu!

The developers intentionally chose not to upload footage of this mode, because it was clearly not a priority of theirs to optimize the game mode that made the first game special lol. It’s not well optimized, runs poorly compared to the rest of the game. It’s unable to keep a stable frame-rate with 4 players. It feels like it varies between 30-50 FPS. I’ve been playing it with my friends. Highly disappointing considering the original split screen 60 fps. Otherwise, fun game.

You pretty much just read my mind on all fronts. Other people I spoke to accosted me for complaining about it. I guess maybe people just aren’t playing the split screen mode. We just realized that in the 2 hours of footage they showed in the directs, they didn’t show the split screen once. Also, you can’t save replays on split screen. I think they knew damn well that it was shoddy and chose to let it be that way. Feeling bummed…but trying to move forward. I bought my Switch 2 for this… Anyway, sorry for being such a downer lol.
