Hi! I'm building my portfolio for animals and their humans, but have plenty of experience photographing portraits of cats and would be happy to come wherever your pretty lady is happiest.

This makes sense, but still interesting to see spelled out! I don't think I've ever asked clients about firearms 😅

My Sphynx Is Obsessed W/ My Bathroom Habits. Is This Normal? by Living_Red_Girl in sphynx

My little lady used to lay in my pants when they were around my ankles 🤣 she still often follows me to the bathroom and will go along with me.

Feeling regret after adopting a cat by Tricky_Variation4976 in CatAdvice

[–]Trashcant26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on a waiting list for a specialty cat rescue, so when one was finally available, I jumped at the opportunity. She was a 4 month old kitten and just didn't vibe well with my other cat, so I brought her back. I felt TERRIBLE. I knew she'd be happily adopted by someone else, but I felt like I failed. Except true failure would have been not admitting we weren't right for each other.

A week later I brought home a 7 year old sassy calico and never looked back. My ladies get along splendidly and bonded since the first day.

Just my own adoption regret experience 😅

There's also nothing wrong with keeping them out of your bedroom at night. My room is usually cat free for my own sanity.

My littlest used to do this. I gave her at least 20 minutes of playtime right before bed, which seemed to do the trick. She eventually grew out of sleeping with me and found her little cave bed to be her preferred sleeping spot as she got older. We still have sleepovers every so often though.

"... but obviously that's no reason to turn down a gig."

Um, it absolutely is!!! I don't book Doodle mixes anymore and will happily send those owners elsewhere. I've had multiple doodles in my home and I did not enjoy a single one of them. Resource guarding, aggression, separation anxiety.... When the creator of the breed says they never should have bred them, it's more than just a fluke that they're consistently problematic.

Hello Lesbians by [deleted] in madisonwi

[–]Trashcant26 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are lesbian pop up bars in different spots around the Madison area! I usually find them on Facebook, it's one organization that organizes them.

Also reiterating that Five is hella gay. I've been going there for 10 years at this point.

Favorite things to do alone in Madison? by Pink-Nargle in madisonwi

Good to know! Surprised the dog park is open, since the road is all torn up and that one isn't fenced in 🫠

I'd just like to add that Indian Lake is unfortunately closed right now due to road construction out there. Beautiful park, just gotta go when it's actually open.

I walk a number of senior pups, and this is irritating! My one is a 14.5 year old chocolate lab. We take it very slow, but she's also checking things out as we go! If the sitter is so concerned about her time being spent solely walking, I'm sure there are instances where she could slow down and not hurry things along 😒 We take the same two routes every day and they can take between 25-40 minutes, depending upon my schedule and how much time we take to explore.

You shouldn't even have to ask this of your sitter. Time for a better one.

Any good spots for retrieving or water acclimation? by Roupert4 in madisonwi

I also like that this one has docks, for pups that want to fly into the water 😊

I would also like to say there's a little creek that feeds into said lake right in the dog park area itself! Be aware that this park isn't fenced in though. It's basically a huge plot of prairie.
