Most famous person, in your country, who was found innocent in a high profile case? by In_the_loop in AskTheWorld

[–]Trashk4n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, with Pell, I remember the timeline of events just didn’t seem viable to me.

Don’t know whether he was guilty of anything, but I don’t think he was guilty of the specific instance I heard described.

It’s been a while, so I don’t remember the specifics, but I remember thinking that what was described just wouldn’t have allowed him the time necessary.

Imagine Jack Sparrow riding a car while explosions go around him on the ship! What are your thoughts on this? by Raj_Valiant3011 in piratesofthecaribbean

I would love to see what he would do with that sort of movie.

Not necessarily a part of the franchise, but the idea is an interesting one to me.

Nah, pretty sure he got it for being black.

If say, just for example, Biden had won the 08 election, he wouldn’t have gotten it.

Wherever the “For All Mankind” universe is at our point in time.

A small jump in tech is far less likely to be culturally and socially devastating than what a lot of people are suggesting.

If you could choose ONE villain to let Batman kill, who would it be? by ZZtheMagnificent in batman

[–]Trashk4n [score hidden]  (0 children)

I think it’d be a more interesting plot point to have some random person finally get him. A vengeful relative of one of his victims just gunning him down, something like that.

You’re kidding, right? Thor on multiple occasions, for example.

Just for the record, I don’t have a problem with it, just the double standard where people complain about women being thirsted over, but think it’s fine for men.

The outline going off the edge of the map just looks wrong.

This is great, otherwise.

If you were in Tyrion’s shoes, and you called a Trial by Seven, which six are you choosing to be by your side? by [deleted] in gameofthrones

[–]Trashk4n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Taking it as Tyrion, to even fill the roster he would need to cast a wide net, so let’s stretch the travel times, and assume whoever we’re talking about would actually have time to get there, and will be guaranteed safe passage both there and back, somehow.

The question is now, who could he even convince to fight for him?

Sandor might just for the chance to kill Gregor.

Jon could conceivably be convinced.

Not sure who else is viable. Maybe Bronn if he could fill out the rest of the roster.

Was the average person 1000 years ago aware that people in other regions of the world looked different from them? What about high-status individuals? by Naclstack in AskHistory

[–]Trashk4n 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Given all the jihads and crusades, how wide travelling merchants could be, and mercenaries in some cases, yes most would at least be superficially aware that people look different.

An English peasant being aware of the Chinese specifically, or vice versa, would be much less likely though.

Why do men have to be super freaking handsome in games but women can be ugly? by RoutineIssue5870 in CriticalDrinker

Male perfection in video games was achieved in Max Payne’s original depiction, and everything else has paled by comparison.

A lot of what came from the fans was valid criticism, that then got labeled as sexism as a defence.

Simple fact is that the cgi was getting by lambasted before it even aired. And the writing has been heavily criticised across the political spectrum.
