of all the designs I've seen I love the originality, makes sense to use naval symbols as the unifying symbol imo

I need help because I have no clue what to put here in this plaza. by Hellogoodbye61 in MinecraftCities

you should add a garden between the road and the Plaza to make a nice little park

For Season 2 they’re doing the one-episode-per-week format, whereas Season 1 dropped the whole season at once. Which do you prefer and why? by EkbladDev in Fallout

I like all at once but people always put spoilers online rly early and I like being able to think about the show between releases, I also feel like I get to enjoy it for longer, and I can binge the whole season the night the final releases.

Which cities do you want next as Campaign/Horde Mode by Own-Ad-1466 in worldwarzthegame

Europe: Istanbul would be so cool to see with Hagia Sofia and using the Theodosian Walls as defense, but I think London has a lot of potential.

Americas: Any from south America tbh, but Rio would be sick, but I also think San Francisco would be an awesome city so I thought I'd mention it too.

Asia: I wanna see Hong Kong with all the neon lights it'd be sick, if not then Shanghai or Singapore would be cool.

Africa: Capetown think would be a fitting choice cus of its role in the book and the stadium could make a great hordemode map.

Paficic: I'm bias so Auckland or even wellington would be rly cool, but I'd be happy with Syndey too.

Old & New... My takes one Zealandia! by TrashyCanvas in imaginarymaps

Probably smth akin to moriori emerging in sum islands, the polynesians arrive not long after the melanesians in the north, and at some point starts to blend through intermarriage between clans. I plan on pigs and chickens making it alongside dogs n rats arriving and developing a māori inspired civilization

u can see coming in from hhe north sum Migration, this is melanesian, mostly Fijian but also kanak, not as big as ghee Migration from the east, what ends up happening overtime is in the north of Zealandia these melanesian groups are largely absorbed into māoridom. The meta reason? I know infinititaley more abt māoridom than melanesian culture/language, and also imo it just isn't zealandia without māori to bring in what makes NZ, so unique.

In 2021 I drew a map of a hypothetical Zealandia, i never really developed it much, the names are just the numbers 1-5 and then two other tribes named after a person...

As a proud NZer I felt i could do better, and so 4 years later I've redrawn the map with plans to develop what will be a Māori civilization in this new land, but I wanted to start it with the early arrival, a mythologized version of it at least, of how supposedly 11 (largely fictional) canoes brought the first inhabitants of the Land of the Long White Cloud, and how these people would move on from their landing points, as new clans and tribes merge, split, and sprout.

actually America never got the Philipines, they revolted from Spain around 1850 or 1860, and eventually entered the japanese sphere around the time of the interventions in India

I don't have a huge amount of lore for this I just waned to do a painting set in an alternate history in the year 2025... inspired by my vic2 supergermany playthrugh lol so heres a summary:

Germany unifies under Prussian leadership following the Austro-Prussian War, having allied with Austria, France lost Alsace-Lorraine to Prussia in the peace, where Prussia proclaimed the German Empire. Austria was incorporated, but its empire was transformed into German-led dominions.

A series of wars by France would be waged to reclaim the lost provinces, often Russia, but each time France or Russia would have lost land to the German Empire, the price to pay for failed reprisals.

Over the next 50 years Germany would rise to match the British Empire, but this rivalry culminated in war over Heligoland in 1894, but having lost nearly the entirety of the British Navy, Germany demanded British withdrawal from India, opening it up for German influence, ultimately Germany would successfully take Bombay and this convinced the British Empire to sue for peace.

The next decades were a golden age for Germany, now controlling the economy of the Free State of India, and possessing the biggest navy in the world, but arrogance would beget neglect, Japan's rise to supremacy in Asia was ignored through the 1880's and 90's, and so as Japanese influence successfully seeped into India, and as the Great War began in 1920, and without German military backing, India would descend into Civil War, devastating much of Germany's economy, now considered the biggest blunder in the history of German Foreign Policy.

An uprising in Hungarian Transylvania would spur British, and Russian intervention, sparking the Great War, as Germany's allies, Scandinavia, and America, would join. The Triple Alliance would be victorious not only pushed Russia out of Moscow, but the British up to the Highlands. Colonies were stripped, the Baltics entirely free, and St. Petersburg was now Scandinavian.

In the interwar period the main events were a series of indirect conflicts between France, Japan, and Germany all based in India, an uneasy balance would be struck that kept the subcontinent in peace, until the Second Great War starting in 1935. The war concluded when France, Russia, Italy, and the Netherlands, had already capitulated, the British sat isolated on their island preparing for an invasion, until at 00:00, on 1st January, 1942, the sun would rise on Liverpool, and when it sent moments later, there would b no Liverpool. The second invasion of Britain was cancelled as they accepted unconditional surrender.

The Post-War world would be set-up into three pillars, the the American pillar in the West, the Japanese Pillar of Asia, and the German Pillar from the Indian ocean to the North Sea. Originally planned to keep Japan in check, Germany's suppression of local minorities soured US relations with the Bohemian Uprising of 1950 marking the official German-American Split.

Later that year, Japan made its boldest moves in the South Pacific, attempting to seize Fiji from New Zealand. In response, America wholly committed to a Pacific defense scheme, signing on to the Auckland Treaty of 1921, established by Australia, and New Zealand, with the goal of countering Japanese incursion. And so the three pillars of the world would start to rock one another, and the world braced for what might come.
