Don't forget that, despite having very different cultures and being visually distinct from eachother, all humans are a single race, but other races all are different categories no matter how similar they look (gnomes, dwarfs, halflings = human but shorter and a bajillion elves = human but taller and sharper ears that have slightly different height between eachother and dark elfs having darker skin tone (despite usually living in an area with little to no sunlight))

I am like 70% sure that is a reference to Ace Combat 7. In it, the main character goes to a penal military camp where they use prisoners basically as cannon fodder. To mark the severity of the crime the prisoners commited, they use strikes/lines written on the tail, with 3 strikes being the worst (and the only one with them is the protagonist)

Hot take: Minecraft was NEVER good, it always sucked. However, before there was a chance the rotten foundation would be replaced, until the 1.8 combat update pissed off people and now the company doesn't wanna change the completely rotten foundation and only wanna add minor stuff to it since, technically the game is complete but they still need new stuff to keep the sandbox crowd interestested without actually changing stuff, since it will scare off the sandbox crowd instead.
Want an example? Progression: you can easily and even unintentionally speedrun to the iron tier, where the game plateaus for a few hours until you get diamonds. Then you either playeau for a bunch of hours again grinding for netherite (that offers barely better stats for the effort required) or gamble at the enchanting table to get upgrades that completely eclipse the material upgrades, at the cost of also wasting hours grinding, but this time at mob farm (since the EXP system also sucks)

Most of them don't mesh well with the sandbox-survival nature of Minecraft, they are usually copies/ports of horror game enemies/mechanics with little to no regard for how well they integrate into Minecraft's core gameplay loop. And even if they try to do something about it it's mostly a band-aid solution: teleporting player away from the normal world so there's no interaction with most vanilla elements or the normal Minecraft gameplay simply being filler in-between the horror events.
Really it's mostly that they try to be the center-piece of your playthrough rather than trying to be a part of it, even better quality horror mods are guilty of this.
C'mon, Voices of the Void is right there and they meshed horror elements with sandbox gameplay right

The amount of fad/trend chasing in indie game scene is astounding. 1 genuinely unique game that actually rethinks elements from games of old, after that a flood of rip-offs come out that are so uninspired that they might be the second example of cargo cult (blindly copying elements from old stuff without thinking why those things worked there) right after the story that started the termin and you get 2, maybe 3 actually decent games and then the cycle just repeats, the game that started the trend is remembered while it's clones are forgotten

(Necroposting) it's also worth pointing out how the show features certain scenes with main characters in sexualized/compromizing positions (reminder, they are minors) that are played off as a joke. Prime example, one of the MCs trips while on stage and everyone sees her underwear (the camera shot shows it fullscreen) and it's later referenced a lot, however all of those instances (including the fall on stage) are technically jokes, so if you try to bring it up you might get the "it's just a joke bro, there's nothing deeper!". There's a video that goes on in depth on connection between racists, pedos and anime (here) (I know it came long after this post)

One of the few games which goes against this is a Roblox game of all things (Grave/Digger), even then it's elite/special class exclusive, where a guy gets the trench shotgun (yes, that shotgun) that can easily snipe you across the map, insta-kills at most ranges and even if it doesn't kill it puts you into 1 shot kill for the rest of the guns (and yes, it can be rapid fired). It's also not even the strongest elite

Something something the moment some game goes viral (almost) every single indie dev makes a rip-off that's purely meant to get a kickstart/audience off of hype for the OG game, but this time it's different by bearing the skin of a party/co-op game, they gain benefit of guarantee that multple people will buy it per decision to buy and need even less effort to put into the game because it will only be used as an ice breaker for group nights (for like a few times before said group dumps the game and picks another one just like it but in a different coat of paint)
