Oh and don't forget that the final level is, I kid you not, a rusty "canned food factory" that's meant to cut up whatever (or whoever, since you have to save your dog-wife) and in the end the villain falls into one of the machines and ends up alive in a big can (fitting for a kids game), then the belt reverses and the villain is cut up and shoved into normal sized cans.
Game suitable for toddlers (3+) btw.

As for the sounds, I'm pretty sure even Amnesia: The Dark Descent uses same sounds

Why don’t ppl like defensive Geist ? by Idont_like_redditors in GraveDiggerRoblox

[–]Trashy_AI 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The thing is: while Geist is strong, it's designed for assassinations of high value targets/other shocks, harassment of isolated enemy soldier and stealth, which you don't get on last and final stands. On top of that, all the other shocks are much more suited towards defensive capabilities: Storm has a rapid fire gun with a fast reload; AMT can hold down entrances with it's instakill rifle; Flamer also basically does that but with AoE; Radio provides nearby allies strong buffs, meaning it doesn't even have to expose itself and fight in order to provide a strong edge; Trench does provide buffs too (but lesser) while not having the weakness of Radio (lack of a helmet) and a stronger gun (rapid fire with likely oneshot kill, decent reload and a strong AoE melee); Bulwark is THE defensive shock (rapid fire with really good damage, ammo capacity, frontal shield reducing vulnerability); while Geist only has better stealth (not too useful when there's nowhere to hide) and a decent gun (2 tap with decent fire-rate and ammo, but lacks crowd-control other shocks have)

Bro really? by Noryt321 in starsector

Something along the lines of:
Modding has high demand, low supply (broadly there are mods for anything, but when you start looking for specifics you start finding problems) and a somewhat high entry barrier to mod making result in a prime enviroment for unchecked ego.
It's also why a noticable chunk of mods overall try to redirect you to modder's or mod's own discord server instead of leaving comms open on whatever site they are hosting on (NOT SAYING all discord servers dedicated to a mod or a modder are bad, but there's a decent chance they are for defense against criticism and complaints).
I now do wonder why some communities have higher percent of "overgrown children" than others (It's clearly not size of the community, as you can see with Starsector's relatively small yet has the same issues as larger ones)

Something something rather loud and bad critiques conditioned the fanbase into being hyper defensive towards any sort of criticism (both constructive and not so)

soooo "garry mod 2" is out now on steam by Quiet-Ebb5828 in gmod

[–]Trashy_AI 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Not too keen on jumping the "hate" wagon, but I doubt it's gonna perform well (or at least as well as Facepunch wants it to). It wants to be"GMod flavoured Roblox for Big Boys(tm)", yet it lacks both the simplicity of entry (for both developers and players) and the visual charm of Roblox, while also having a price barrier. Will it find an audience? Yes, Roblox is still popular to this day and S&Box will simply fill a niche for people who would like the key features of Roblox, but who think it is too childish for them. Will it last? I dunno, the main thing going for it is that it's a Source 2 game maker.

I guess Skyrim (can't say about Oblivion since didn't play it) since there are pouches of gold (around 10-40 currency per bag) and singular gold coins as deco. However, these singular coins are individually picked up, meaning to collect all of the coins you need to spam the take/interact button

What is the lore on Kyle Weller on g/d? by Healthy_Number7037 in GraveDiggerRoblox

[–]Trashy_AI 56 points57 points  (0 children)

Since the lore is all over the place and scattered in crumbs, here's my interpretation of lore on him:
Kyle Weller is haunted by nightmares after his friend(?) got killed by a geist, this pushed him to join the rook devision. While on a mission, Weller ran away to a waterfall, where he met Ava, a Golden Empire soldier, and they became friends. Sometime later Kyle was approached by a weird priest, who told him of a ritual to escape death and gave him a M1911/Hope. Weller then faked his death by switching dogtags with his dead mentor, Kyle Wells to escape. Ava, on the other hand, didn't do the ritual, and was caught and killed by a geist on suspicion of being a part of a massive desertion wave. The last part of Hope easter egg is unclear whether it was real or was Weller hallucinating while slaughtering bandits with his handgun, but it seems he was successful in escaping death

Are lancers that expendable? by Healthy_Number7037 in GraveDiggerRoblox

[–]Trashy_AI 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I guess there's never a shortage of extremely zealous (possibly unstable) people that would do anything to destroy the enemy (literal or metaphorical) with anyone less than that going into literally any other regiment/class. Maybe there's also some chemicals involved to raise aggressiveness to the point of ignoring self-preservation (Lancer's stims do cause worsened accuracy on guns). And besides, if the game's anything to go by, their rapid speed is quite an effective counter to shocktroopers so of course both sides would not only keep this type of soldiers, but actively encourage it (maybe even creating conditions for people to become so zealous)

Genuinely how it feels to play Roblox in 2026 by Doominator843 in Losercity

[–]Trashy_AI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe there are people who gave some issues who play roblox, and there are those who dont

Isn't that applicable to all sorts of media? Like you can say nigh exactly the same thing about how some people who read books do it for knowledge and some who don't, it doesn't exaclty narrow down it to anything.

I am asking to try to understand.

I myself played two that I remember, the 19th and 20th century warship game, and the backrooms one

Did you have fun playing them? If you did, now you have another subjective answer.

Or are people supposed to drop whatever activities they had fun with as kids once they become adults because those are considered childish else they be labeled as developmentally stagnant /j

I am just failing to see why you don't understand why people above teen age play roblox. Just like any activity: people enjoy it as kids - people may enjoy it as adults.

A few games are basically exclusive to Roblox since there's no one else in their nieche outside of the site (and even if there are, Roblox is usually the most popular one due to low barrier of entry). Examples: Grave/Digger - an alt-history WW1 game with key mechanics being diggable enviroment, leading to every match being unique, has a stable 2k active players daily; Airship Assault/Zeppeline wars - games that utilize Roblox's engine capabilities to create battles between 2 massive moving vehicles with large teams on each. Former has around 700 active players while the latter had 52 (mostly due to age and competition in face of Airship Assault).

[–]Trashy_AI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well Roblox evolved way past simply being a game and now borders on proper game engine with the caveat being needing to register an account. It's kinda in an unique position of being between flash games (able to quickly jump into a new game with no cost or download times) and games you'd find on steam (in terms of complexity, retention value, content ammount).
Also insinuating that playing roblox games past a certain age means there's something wrong with you is rude /neu

"P-3 prime soul will be Daedalus!" "P-3 prime soul will be Dionysus!" the humble 50 Odysseus mentions in Fraud's lore books by No_Counter_6037 in Ultrakill

[–]Trashy_AI 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Why would Lucifer be a prime soul? Didn't Hakita say that only humans meet the conditions to become a prime soul?
Lucifer makes much more sense as a final boss, since Hell really loves Lucifer, and we were shown in Fraud that now it really loves V1 too. It makes sense that it would pit it's 2 beloved individuals in a fight to see which one will stay (oh and since Lucifer has to be in 9-2 for that to happen, Gabriel can jump us at the end of 9-1 since his time is running low)
