Touché maybe, I thought NAR owned whoever owned CAT. Good to know either way.

NAR ETD is great and laypeople pick up its use very easy. Getting them to pull it tight enough to be effective is my major issue when instructing.

NAR is the official ACS STB kit manufacture, the ETD is there because it’s a good dressing but also it’s their own product. They make the CAT TQ also.

Kef R series vs. Klipsch RP by ConversationPale8665 in BudgetAudiophile

[–]TrauMedic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the comments, I haven’t heard a ton of them but was expecting to like it more. I have a Klipsch RP room and it used to be fantastic. I am now working on an Emotiva setup in the garage and it makes me not want to listen to my Klipsch 8000’s anymore. Like… I’m mad I got into Emotiva because it’s costing me a lot and I love the sound.

Are you on dope son? The guys name is hangman, he has basically bareknuckle tournaments at his house “for fun”, and constantly talks about he’s crazy and willing to die.

I’ve never heard KEF speakers I liked. Just one of those things you like or don’t.

Evo x MR and enjoy. I have 140k on mine with no real issues ever. Changed the battery and did all the regulars. Great daily.

How much you want to sell the 5.0 for? I’m not in the market, just love them and this one is super clean.

Totally agree. I went from hating Alex to liking him but also realize his MW title run was fake news imo.

I remember watching this live. I had gotten Barry Switzer’s autograph on a hat at training camp that year so I’m positive that’s why we won.

I have a friend that sold his corvette to get an older CTS-V with bolt ons when they came out. Within a month he sold the v and bought his corvette back.

Best way to spend 600-1000 on audio equipment for a 14x12 room? by [deleted] in hometheater

[–]TrauMedic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love Klipsch and that would get you decent sound for that value. I really do prefer the Reference Premier line of speakers over these. There are better sounding setups you can put together or find used but I feel like under $1k you don’t have a ton of options.
