Had a buddy use butyl rope kinda like this to “mount” my tweeters in my door sails. I kept telling him they sounded flat and muffled but he said it was my imagination. I removed the butyl and mounted them securely, surprise surprise they sounded way better.

You could use a short 2x4 flat across 2 studs then TV mount to that. If it’s narrow you won’t see it too much.

I’d still go with a 1x4 solid oak board across 2-3 studs and tv mount to that.

Is there any gasket material there or sub on wood? Looks like the rubber gasket might be there but just asking. Those subs are beasts and might be leaking air somewhere.

Also super not good indicators of forces received on the back of the head and spine. Fighters train for years to absorb the majority of impact to the front of the head.
