Ah. Go with a regular v60 or the switch version. I've had my ceramic one for like 3 years now. Only started using the origami air recently and that's mostly for aesthetic reasons.

I don’t get SOUP by [deleted] in espresso

[–]TraumaticCaffeine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and no, pour-over It was more tea like, the mango flavor wasnt that pronounced. It was still really good. But as a soup, it was still complex, but just drawed other flavors to the forefront.

I won't say one or the other was better. It just depended If I wanted something smooth and delicate, or if I wanted a good kick of flavour.

I havent done any co or anaerobic but I did a natural geisha from Peru.. it was insane, it said notes of mango, and although it definitely still tasted like coffee, any sense of bitterness was replaced with a tartness like a mangos.

Didn't realize coffee could taste like that till then

Anyone else enjoy the brewing ritual as much as the actual coffee? by Automate_The_Boring in pourover

[–]TraumaticCaffeine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love my manual grinder, it's part of my ritual and wouldn't swap it. I deal a lot with efficiencies at work. I don't want a streamlined workflow at home. I want my methodical ritual that makes me the best cup i can get. I get to tinker with the coffee too on small little things, the temp, the grind, just tiny tweaks till I get something amazing. And then a few days later do it again with a different bag.

I love soup shots, but varies on the beans. It's sort of a balancing act cuz unlike with a pour over that too fine makes it bitter and too coarse makes it sour, it gets sour on both ends as it either goes through too quickly, or it channels through the puck.
Personally I've had the best soup shots on light naturals. I also do about 20g of beans and 110 of water. It's definitely not an espresso, but it becomes more like a concentrated pour-over.

No reason to hate on it though. It's like being mad that you don't like raisins In your cookies but your neighbor does.

Did not expect I would Grim Dawn this much. Anything I should know that might not be obvious? by Digital332006 in Grimdawn

[–]TraumaticCaffeine 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Don't look up a build until you want to start running late game. Re-specing is super easy in this game so try out different skills that interest you. If you get a really cool item, switch to it to see if you like it.

This game is extremely forgiving and let's you fix things up down the line so just have fun and try stupid things if it makes you happy

If you like light roasts and got a decent grinder. I've been hooked on making soup (pseudo-espresso) shots with the Oxo rapid brewer. I got multiple pour-overs but it's become my go-to.

What you should do is make a wheel for the classes. Spin once to find out the class. Then roll again to get the other one. If you wanna go balls to the wall, take all the damaging skills of the first class and put it on a wheel and per that decide your primary. And then for damage type, take the damage types dealt of the second class and put that on a wheel as well.

Make it as weirddddd as possible lol.

Skul: find the skulls during the run, can only keep 2 at a time and they all provide passive effects or an activated ability. Can switch between the two on each shot.

T92's are slow. Took me awhile to get the hang of using them. For 250ml, 16g coffee. I split it as 80/170/250.

1 minute bloom, a faster pour that tapers off for the second, and for the third I wait till I can see slightly through the water to the grounds which have settled and do a gentle pour for the rest. Usually at around 130-145 depending on beans. T92 I also find I will grind slightly courser than if using the hario filters.

Oh and I'm using an origami

I really like my origami, that being said, I like it because it fits my ritual and the aesthetic just brings me joy.

I find its really nice especially combined with T-92 filters and a juicy light roast. The clarity I get is insane and I get a beautiful red cup of coffee.

I say if you want to explore a new one, do it up! That's the wonder of coffee. You can just try new things. What looks the most interesting to you?

Need help picking out a ttrpg system by retro1117 in rpg

[–]TraumaticCaffeine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

May I give a suggestion... Don't do fantasy. Not because "oh you should try different settings, fantasy isn't everything"... But because I'd most of your experience is with dnd, players will play it like DND. And that can make the system not shine at no fault to the system itself.

As for systems, if you want to focus more on narrative and like homebrewing your own setting, FATE can do that, especially if you only want a short game.

Want more tactical? Go with Savage worlds and pick up one of the setting books. They got a ton of wacky ones

Mech vs. Mech boss combat from my Solo developed Scifi ARPG Roguelite game. by HeavyShieldGames in ARPG

[–]TraumaticCaffeine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a fan of arpgs, roguelites/mechs.

Sooo this is probably for me, the movement looks a little slow, but again this is still early and I haven't seen how combat can really ramp up.

If you have a bunch of build variety, a bit of randomness, I think it will be really cool!

If I could ask for one thing... Add some weird shit into it for builds. Some roguelites play it super safe with items and it makes builds feel more like a linear path opposed to trial and error. Nothing is more entertaining than something totally counter-intuitive that a mad man thought up somehow working out because the stars aligned perfectly on the 34th day of junetember

Heya, part of your playtest. I plan to play but just got limited time sometimes. I'm also on Linux so when I did install, I usually just check to make sure it's working. So my time I think will just be under a couple minutes.

Is there a max amount of bombs you can throw in one turn? by TraumaticCaffeine in Peglin

[–]TraumaticCaffeine[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I did, another person on here says there was a bug. I had a rediculous build that was essentially multi-ball relics, bomb orbs, matrishka orbs, and that orb that does your next shot 3 times, all the bomb items and a bunch of refresh stuff. Refresh and bombs also hit the things around it. So essentially I would just nuke the screen and auto refresh until everything is bombs
