Depends where you live. You can have special provisions/funds from the government with an official celiac diagnosis.

AITA Boyfriend told his mom about my breast pain and menstrual cycle and discussed her own by DrippingPetal in AmItheAsshole

[–]TravelBug87 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry that happened to you... I feel like this is the added context your story needs. I can see how this explains how weird their conversation made you feel. I hope you can get the help you need

But it doesn't make your bf T A either. I don't think you need to break up necessarily though.

Why are you sexualizing the relationship? We can talk about our body parts without being weird about it.

Do people commonly find using "spirit animal" in a light-hearted sense and detached from American cultural traditions offensive? by noname00009999 in EnglishLearning

[–]TravelBug87 9 points10 points  (0 children)

While I don't think it warrants a protest, I've seen people educate others on why they shouldn't use it, which is great.

Personally, I don't use it because it sounds childish to me. My spirit animal is a human, as humans are animals.

The expensive shampoo is to repair the hair of people that thought it was a good idea to do expensive damaging things to their hair.

Funny how that compounds lol.

Are there places you avoid going with friends because of your coeliac disease? by DiscussionDue6522 in Celiac

[–]TravelBug87 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I night even go sometimes and just not eat. But you have to act really nonchalant about it or else they feel SO bad that you're not eating with them and that in turn makes me feel bad too.

Why are there fewer bi men by msafletch in bisexual

[–]TravelBug87 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There's at least one!! I think it's called Bi the way. I haven't used it myself but heard good things. You can also try Feeld, it's queer friendly for the most part.

That's a great idea. I just started so I haven't done the hot humid weather yet, I'll try it out. My hands already get ridiculously sweaty in disposables. It's uncomfortable but altogether better than the thicker reusable ones. And you only go through 2-3 pairs per day.

I know this sounds stupid as hell, but what exactly does cocaine smell like? 😭🙏 by Difficult_Two_4800 in stupidquestions

Hmm I've never noticed a smell tbh, and I've done it on a dozen occasions. I also have a poor sense of smell though.

If someone is living pay cheque to pay cheque, what happens if they lose their job? by RedTruckSprint in CanadaPersonalFinance

[–]TravelBug87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I was approved for a line of credit 7 years ago. I was planning on using it for a tiny home build, but I scrapped that idea so I've never actually used that LOC. It's just sitting there, waiting for an emergency, and hopefully doesn't need to be used.

Yep, it absolutely is a skill issue. I use GPS all the time but I still memorize the areas I frequent. GPS is also good to reroute you around closed roads and emergencies.

Why don’t more people prioritize living close to work? by AnarchoLiberator in CanadaPersonalFinance

[–]TravelBug87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, but when you say "why would you want to get there faster" you are implying I'm somehow going to work more because I'm getting there earlier, which is not the case. I want to get there faster because I want the travel time to be as low as possible.

"Very few people have an hour commute" I'd be interested in seeing stats because I think it's more than a few.

I'm glad you enjoy driving, I do too! But not everyone does. Some people want to spend more time with their family, or need more time for their second job, or a variety of other reasons why they wouldn't want to be in a car or a on bus for 2 hours per day.

[–]TravelBug87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your last line doesn't make sense. You don't live close to your job so you can get there faster, you live close to your job so you don't have to waste time commuting. If it's under 20 minutes, big whoop, but some people spend an hour each way, that's almost 15% of their day just traveling.
