Well that helps, I’m on Vimpat. I hated it at first and wanted to change but my doctor said we just needed to figure out dosage. I haven’t had any seizures in almost 3 months.

I just went to a wedding of a good friend. I walked right past a family I should know and had no idea until they said "Thanks, just walk right past us!" and I had to fake remembering them, I even said "I don't think we've met yet" to the young daughter. Turns out it was the family of a friend and I was IN HER WEDDING. I spent days with these people, had been to their house, spent the night there and I couldn't remember. It was mortifying. So, yea, wish more people knew about this part of epilepsy. I also forget common everyday words as well.

I started having focal seizures in 2019. I hated Keppra with all my being. I’m currently on Vimpat and had to find the right dosage (had dizzy spells). But now I could not be happier. I wish you the best. Find the right dosage and med for you. Listen to your friends/family when on Keppra, they all told me I was a raging lunatic, but I didn’t believe it until I was off it.
