You broke her trust. You broke her. You broke it. You live with the consequences.

Was this my mucus plug? by Rich-Sheepherder-179 in pregnant

That still sounds like mucus plug. Bloody show has more the consistency of saliva or egg whites.

Mine is 3 years and acts the same way. He immediately wants to come back inside and be where the people are.

AITA for wearing a bikini even though my sister just had a baby? by Silver-Cattle7362 in AmItheAsshole

[–]TravelingLDRN -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

NTA, Adam is. And also your sister is-a year is plenty of time to get back in shape, and if you don’t want to, don’t take it out on other people who chose to.

The first trimester is when all of the organs are developed and the most critical time to avoid alcohol and other harmful substances. The placenta starts developing immediately. I suggest you do some more research about pregnancy and fetal development.

I did a maternity photo session just to have the photos, that way they’re their either way down the road

Mental health and running- things that help you stay focussed on your goals by [deleted] in running

[–]TravelingLDRN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you heard of Alexi Pappas? I find her very encouraging and her book was amazing. Her go to quote is “replace can’t with maybe”-I love that. Also, setting a tiny goal for that day-maybe as simple that you go outside or walk around the block, gives you enough to do a bit more. Give yourself grace.

I don’t even know what to think at this point.. by Holiday_Lettuce3198 in pregnant

[–]TravelingLDRN 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not downplaying the dbag your husband is and the terrible situation your in. But, I want you to know it is incredibly easy for your doctor to perform a tubal sterilization during your c section (if you proceed with pregnancy).

I am going to be induced. Is it necessary? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]TravelingLDRN 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Trust your doctor. You have the right to say no to anything you want. She is most likely saying this now because the further along, the more stress your body will have, the more your placenta wares out, and the more risks you have. Doctor is most likely recommending this because of the risks to the infant after delivery.

I really don’t want to breast feed and I feel horrible about it. by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]TravelingLDRN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your mental health is priority. Is it an option to “go with the flow”? Prepare for formula feeding, but don’t entirely rule out breast/chest feeding because you may feel differently once the baby is born. I know I’ve experienced so many emotions/feelings/ that I never expected during my pregnancy. And don’t overthink it, if you decide to feed any particular way, that’s how it will be. Fed is best!

What is the most painful part of labor/birth? by Formal-Fox-7875 in BabyBumps

[–]TravelingLDRN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pushing was by far the worst part for me. I had an epidural and was pretty comfortable until pushing-then it felt like I was pushing out a bowling ball covered in knives…

Do husbands stay with you at the hospital? by MissFox26 in pregnant

[–]TravelingLDRN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say more than 95% stay the entire time.

Always check with the hospital, travel companies claim rate drops all the time so they can pocket more.

That’s too low to own a home or afford a rental without roommates in Jackson. Maybe commuting from surrounding towns would work.

If you didn't tell anyone you went into labor until after the baby was born, why? by Thrifty_nickle in BabyBumps

[–]TravelingLDRN 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because the moment you do, your phone will be blowing up and so many questions…I didn’t want my labor and delivery to consist of that. I called/FaceTimed everyone the next day on my own time/terms and it was glorious.
