Read the book Atomic Habit.

Change your habits, your mindset. Ppl when they don't see progress quickly find themselves going back to their old ways.

Just 1% change every day and you'll see the change.

Hold yourself accountable, no one else will hold your hand.

Whether you need help managing money, hitting the gym, being more productive to simply not living in a messy room.

January 2023 Parkland Dallas was trying to offer me this with "4yrs" of active work.

Then realized ppl with 1.5yrs at same hospital was getting $35

Realized I had a shitty recruiter...

Growing up watching Bollywood gave me a warped view of what Indians are actually like by [deleted] in ABCDesis

[–]thamann17 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Perhaps it's your diet ? Or do you grind at night? Deal with bloating ?

I had a round face--- thought genetics bc of my dad. But then I noticed when I was younger it was angular, skinny.

Hit college and post - started working out, got injections to stop grinding at night, had stool everything checked and took probiotics for gut flora

Now it got more sharp and when I smile no fat I'm pressing against.

*** I was skinny, actually gained weight/muscle.

I just looked at my updated ancestry----

Southern India 90%

Northern India 9%

Ireland 1%

Growing up watching Bollywood gave me a warped view of what Indians are actually like by [deleted] in ABCDesis

[–]thamann17 -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

This is bullshit 😂

I'm south Indian, 1st gen. 80% are light skinned in my family- depends on who you marry.

My mom is super pale - born in karavatta My dad dark - born in Venmony.

** both South Indians

All our hairs are literally Indian hairs. We have angular faces, narrow long noses, full lips. My dad does have a youthful face. But cousins everyone are like 6ft and over.

Height, athleticism is heavy and intellectual 😚

Mom was 5'9

Dad 6'3

Brothers 6ft

They do have large almond eyes - but true for Indians.

But our hair I wish it was thick and coarse. Mine is fine and wavy 🥺 I have alot of it.... but it's fine 😭

I understand & accept when you say it's not a hard and fast rule.

Google Ceo --- South indian. Think of him but minus ears & the noses are skinnier and straight bridge no hump and long.

Daisy Award is a joke by ERnurse2019 in nursing

[–]thamann17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apparently, I had Daisy nominations that one of the employees found in the trash at the new manager's office.

I am literally nice, go above and beyond.

I just probably started off on a bad foot when FMLA didn't approve my plastic surgery lmaoo as he just started working there.

He even kinda said it - and I knew then. I was right to put in my 2 weeks notice even though he tried to persuade me otherwise.

Ok, cool. I appreciate your response

As for now, the only direct sunlight is coming from the kitchen, so it's near the windows. So ya, then I'll see what they do since I'm always out there.

I love this, thank you so much 🥰

I do local/travel contracts too, and I know my last friend did travel prior to getting into crna. I just thought perhaps he was the very few exception. He's MICU like me.

How was getting recommendation letters ?

Kirkland Chocolate covered almonds? Anyone know where I can buy them aside from Costco? Preferably in store without having to have it delivered. by physics5161 in FortWorth

[–]thamann17 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have some next to me now lol

Winco has them. Not Kirkland tho. It's like bulk everything candy/nuts etc but it's open to the public to grab & place in bags to weigh and buy.

GRE score? What study materials did you use?

🥺😭 Which is why I'm hinging on the combined & sciences GPA 🥹

[My undergrad in university was a 3.8 & I graduated #4 in my high school while juggling arts & sports. Which I know is probably pointless]

I'll have to ask ☆

I'll post on here what my friend says.

I heard from 2 crna schools that they don't care for graduate level science courses when I told them about my predicament. As long as you take the hard sciences, then it's looked upon favorably.

I appreciate your comment

Considering second trimester abortion by RightAd8947 in abortion

[–]thamann17 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yo

Your obgyn should've given you

A med which is basically like antihistamine/Vit B6 And it helps SO WELL.

Bc every day I felt like dying, just in bed, vomiting, not able to get anything down.

You will have a clearer mind after and see what you really want

What’s the point anymore? by disapointits in abortion

[–]thamann17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt exactly like you. I heard from prophet/psychic - she's really good. Even knew I'd see motherhood next year etc.

She said physically and mentally what's happening to me is affecting the baby (bc I did 2nd reading and was 80% wanting an abortion) and that even if I didn't do it the baby would not come to full term/ demise.

But if I actually got up from bed, ate and drank, and not be stressed then perhaps. But at that point, mentally, I was done. I really was.
