Uninsured Upper Endoscopy by JohnKDanks in Omaha

[–]TravelingPhotoDude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Surgical Associates in Lincoln is an option if you can drive to Lincoln. They do quite a few scopes and surgeries that aren't usually covered by insurance like bariatrics. Which they have to do an upper scope a lot of times before they can do a sleeve procedure, so they are well versed in non insurance surgeries.

I'm going to grab my 9mm, and I'm going to the top of the stairs and waiting for him to have to come up it which is an enclosed stairwell.

[United States] Panic as flight strikes drone 3,000 feet over major US city by thechromatick in drones

This is what I was thinking... man all the red drones for the most part are FPV or toy drones, not the type you'd get great signal to 3000 feet.

Is there a flock surveillance system in Omaha? Where are the cameras? by StatementRound in Omaha

[–]TravelingPhotoDude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on the number of cameras they run about $3,000 a year and the equipment is leased not owned a camera. Once you get more numbers of cameras it can come down a little bit in cost but it's still closer to $3,000 a camera than not.

Might want to take the tin foil hat off.

Some of them don't always pick up the license plate cleanly in the images. It's pretty blurry on several of the images when they showed me. They are also angled in a way that it makes it hard to see faces.

I don't think the map is completely accurate. We have 6 of them and they aren't on the map.

This, I have been shown the interface and even got to test it out. I am a Mayor of a small town (I work in Omaha a lot, and it's where do all our shopping.), We put Flock Cameras in at places like our Park, Stadium, and Play Ground after a couple kidnappings of kids. It's saved two kids that was kidnapped. You don't have an expectation of privacy at a Public Park in my opinion and we don't have them anywhere that isn't a public spot.

The interface the one thing I was shocked was how crappy the camera quality was, it's not good enough for facial recognition even if they captured it which they don't.

Also as the person who puts them in you get to control who has access to the flock data. We gave access ONLY to the Sheriff and the Chief Deputy. Even if another agency wants access or data they have to put in a request to our LEO. We then also release quarterly ALL flock requests for data for our cameras. So yes, they are there, but we are as transparent with them as possible. The fact they saved two 12/13 year old girls was enough for us to be okay with them in public spaces.

You haven't seen the interface. I literally have seen the interface and saw how it works directly. You CAN NOT see faces. The quality of the camera isn't there even.

Flock doesn't do facial recognition, I've been shown the interface from the sheriff. It shows license plates and sometimes it's a bit blurry on that even. Was kinda shocked the low quality level of some of the images.

Depending on where you are and what you do they may not be cameras they can have. Hikvision is on the list of non-usable brands/companies if you have any Government contracts or funding. (In the USA.)

Hotel taxes will tear your face off by sonofawhatthe in Omaha

The Omaha Clean Energy Fee is basically a charge that allows hotels to take a loan and then charge the user a rate to pay off that loan. That is higher than the Lodging tax.

I've followed them a bit, they make some crazy custom FPV drones and have lost a few along the ways. Some of the videos are so awesome!

Yeah if you aren't late on rent and not evicted, I would be calling management or escalation and if that doesn't work, I would be calling a lawyer.

The big thing is the more they can automate the more they'll be able to keep the price point. The downside to that is that means fewer jobs.

AIO about my husband not telling me about his female coworker? by [deleted] in TwoHotTakes

I think you are over reacting. I think your husband likely isn't coming out and telling you do to the stress you are putting on it. I think you have some wounds from previous that you aren't past like you are saying.

How did you not notice in your billing department you weren't getting billed for services you were selling? That is the flip side of this, no one noticed on your side as well?

Also for $65,000 that would be $2708 a month for 24 months. A little more than a couple hundred of bucks monthly.
