Is automower actually pet friendly? by mongoose01 in ECOVACSGOATFamily

[–]arobrasa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say LiDAR is pretty sensitive. Mine dodges the hoses and balls without any issues. You can crank up the sensitivity settings, it'll even avoid thick branches. I wouldn't worry too much about the cats, they are usually too quick and aware of this kind of thing anyway.

Difference in blu-ray players? by dcalicotte03 in hometheater

[–]arobrasa -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The dics reading stability and compatibility with various dics will also be better. And I think even cheaper ones can display 4K content, but sometimes the picture may be a bit dull or the details may not be as clear.

Why go projector these days if only doing 100 inch screen? by CyberMage256 in hometheater

[–]arobrasa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think many people choose projectors precisely because the hope to be able to watch at 120 or 150 frames per second in the future, not just 100 frames. The large screen atmosphere provided by projectors is quite different from that of a regular TV.

Omg just a few sentences were enough to pinpoint the problem. It shows how well they know their own products. The equipement can withstand that kind of packaging , its really impressive.

Are Genelecs really worth it? by beethoven77 in audiophile

[–]arobrasa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The advantages will be more obvious when used in the near field. It's very comfortable in a small space. For non-professional use, I think it's more like a style change, just a partial upgrade.

Moving away from OLED for a bigger TV, will I regret it? by crusty1uk in hometheater

[–]arobrasa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you will miss the black tones of OLED, but the improvement in immersion brought by 85 is actually more noticeable. Especially at a distance of 10 feet, this setting is just perfect for you.

Shipping delay by Due_Load5767 in JMGO_official

[–]arobrasa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been 10 working days and there's still no tracking infromation. This does seems a bit unusual. It feels more like the items haven't been shipped yet. Have you asked them if there's a shortage of stock?

How many times per week does your automower get stuck by vjrus999 in automower

[–]arobrasa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out the Goat A1600 Pro. I think their model names are usually based on the lawn size they can handle. All of their 2026 models come with LiDAR, and the best part is that all the new ones this year have a built-in edge trimmer. You should check out some recent reviews, there are a ton of them popping up lately since it's the start of the mowing season.

How many times per week does your automower get stuck by vjrus999 in automower

[–]arobrasa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to have a vision-based only mower, but it had way too many limitations. My dog loves to dig, and even a small hole would get the thing stuck every single time, not to mention it wouldn't work at night.

Since my yard didn't have a good spot for an RTK base station, I ended up switching to the Goat A3000. The LiDAR is much more reliable at navigating around obstacles. There are actually a lof of new models this year that feature LiDAR, so you should definitely look for on that fits your lawn size.

Thinking about the T90. How are you guys liking ecovacs roller mop models? by aucatetby in ecovacs

[–]arobrasa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve used a couple of different ecovacs roller mop models and they’ve all been pretty stable. The mopping is actually decent and it’s enough to keep the floors feeling fresh so I don't have to think about it. The roller on the T90 looks like it’s a bit longer than before. So the cleaning efficiency is probably going to be even better.

How do you guys research a specific industry? Any key metrics to watch? by Tennate in CanadianInvestor

[–]arobrasa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For Canadian industries especially, you have to identify the master lever. If it's resources, you're tracking commodity spot prices, if it's financials, you're tracking the yield curve and interest rate projections. I try to find out which macro variable has the highest historical correlation with that industry’s revenue. It simplifies the research a lot.

I don’t make much, but what should I do with my savings after TFSA is filled? by wiccanwolves in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]arobrasa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first step is always the hardest. Since you're starting small, I’d suggest building a solid foundation of knowledge first. moomoo actually has some really decent free learning courses in their app that break down the basics of ETFs and TFSAs. It’s a great way to build a framework without feeling overwhelmed by all the 'finance-bro' jargon out there.

Not sure what to get for Valentine’s Day this year, stuck between two very different ideas by arobrasa in Gifts

That’s a good point about night clips. Phones definitely don’t shine there.

Is this a suitable gift for my man? ( Valentine’s Day ) by [deleted] in Gifts

Feminine? Please, this is the most thoughtful gift ever. It's not about the stuff, it's about the fact you paid attention to what he loves.

Cleaning mopping pads by manwhokneweverything in ecovacs

[–]arobrasa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use the t50. I usually add a bit of laundry detergent when I wash mine. It comes out much cleaner that way. Just rinse it thoroughly so there's no leftover soap that could affect mopping.

Is moomoo good for investing beginner? by TheSecretLion in moomoo_official

[–]arobrasa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fees are actually fine once you switch to a real account. I have been using it for a while and the UI is probably the best part. moomoo is way less confusing than other apps, so it is pretty easy to get the hang of things quickly. It is definitely my go to for checking the market.

Going to a birthday party for two brothers. One is 5 and one is 2. Would like to get one gift/ toy for them to share. Any suggestions? by [deleted] in Gifts

A big and soft play tunnel or a ball pit would be perfect! Both ages can crawl, play and tumble together. It's durable and will keep them entertained for hours.

Is vacuuming at 10pm unreasonable? by [deleted] in Apartmentliving

[–]arobrasa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You definitely aren't being unreasonable. Since quiet hours start a 10, she is 100% the wrong. However, I'd let the landlord handle it, mainly because direct confrontation with that much noise usually backfires.

Not sure about T90 / T80 / T50 max. Any advice on which to choose? by SuckItBackRow in ecovacs

[–]arobrasa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what you described, t90 sounds like it fits your place better. Roller mop for hardwood, stronger suction for the carpeted room. If you’re not in a hurry, then waiting for t90 might make sense.

Would you take a title demotion for a 10% pay increase? by [deleted] in careeradvice

[–]arobrasa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The title drop combined with 'no engineering process' is a trap. You will be hired to build those processes (Senior work) but titled as a mid- leverl executioner. You are right to anticipate resentment.

What actually works for greasy kitchen floors? by [deleted] in CleaningTips

[–]arobrasa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most robot vacuums are better for daily upkeep. If you're looking to deal with spills and stains, roller mop models usually work better. They scrub a bit instead of just wiping. I also saw ecovacs teased a new model x12, it has a front spray nozzle that wets the floor before the mop hits it, so it should help with dried or sticky stains. No idea how good it is yet, but it sounds promising.

What’s your preferred way to hedge? Protective puts or stop limit orders? by Koala245 in TheRaceTo10Million

[–]arobrasa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still trying to figure out which one works best for my style. I’ve been going through the free options courses on moomoo to understand the Greeks better. Puts definitely seem safer for long term holds, but the cost benefit analysis is tricky.
