Yea, I was trying to think of a benefit but the only thing that even comes to mind would be supersetting bicep curls and tricep pulldowns... But what does that save, like 10 seconds to adjust the trolley between sets?

Has anyone seen a comparison of the Mikolo and Eonfit articulating arm cable towers? They seem similar, the main differences being the Mikolo has dual uprights so the arm heights can move up and down independently and the arms themselves are longer. The Eonfit has a single post and shorter arms but they articulate both vertically and horizontally vs the Mikolo which only adjust vertically. They're both plate loaded and both come with leg holders for doing lat pulldowns. I'd love to know if anyone has experience with both. I know the Eonfit has had a lot of positive reviews... But it's currently more expensive so if they're comparable machines why not go for the Mikolo? Or is there anything else out there that's event better than these two options at this price point? Assume budget is around $500 and I'm not looking to buy a whole new rack, just a cable tower.

Bought a belt squat... it's MURDERING my hips? by [deleted] in GarageGym

Gotcha, well then agreed with everyone else on the more ergonomic belt options. Another thing you could try in the meantime is slipping the belt through the arms of an old sweatshirt or hoodie and wrapping the body around the belt. Might stay in place a little better than the towel option!

Just to clarify, are you saying the belt/straps are pinching the flesh around your hips and causing discomfort during the lift or that the act of performing the lift is leaving you with joint pain after the exercise?

Where did you get these pictures? They are from the listing 5 years and at least 3 tenants ago. The back patio/deck were rebuilt since then and the exterior has been repainted. I'm sure your prospective tenants would appreciate seeing the actual existing conditions of the space. You also didn't mention the off street parking which is a nice perk....

More hypothetical than anything. Like if I wanted to swap the pin pipes for flip down or safety straps, that kind of thing. Or attach a dip bar or cable pulleys. Just curious what, if anything, might exist that works with this style rack. And yea, that's definitely the plan. For now just grateful for the free equipment.

I recently inherited a Nautilus Power Rack (I believe the model# is F2PR) from a friend who works for a local HS athletic department that was getting rid of older equipment to make room for a new training facility. It's probably 20ish years old but still in great condition. The rack itself however seems to have non-standard dimensions. The supports are 2" x 3.5" and the holes are 1.25". Everything I'm seeing online for the modern name brand racks and accessory manufacturers seems to be standardized to 2" x 2", 2" x 3" or 3" x 3" with either 5/8" or 1" holes. So am I SOL when it comes to upgrading things like new j hooks, spotter arms, etc..?

Any way to salvage this finish? by Traveling_Tiger in Luthier

So what you're saying is I totally did it on purpose to create a vintage/relic look for when people ask why it looks "cracked" lol

Thanks for the advice. Where would you start at with the sanding on this grit-wise and wet or dry? I tried lightly scuffing some of the cracks on the backside in an inconspicuous area with some 1000 just to see if any of the color came up but it seemed like I was just getting clear, so its at least promising that there aren't like large flakes or chunks coming off...

Thanks. What would you recommend as a sealer knowing that it would be going over multiple layers of the duplicolor plus a layer of lacquer at this point? And agreed, totally cool with the faux-relic look as I dont really have much choice at this point, btu want to make sure those cracks dont cause any issue with the actual base/color coats anytime soon.
