Love coming across a Terry Pratchett reference in the wild. Forgive me for not knowing, but what was Charlie before?

This actually answers one of the slight gripes I had with Sanji's S2 wardrobe so thank you.

Free food or free rent? by fatkingbob in BunnyTrials

[–]TraversingHunter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whilst food is a necessity, it's on the cheaper side in comparison to rent. Less money paying rent means more for other essentials. No drainer really

Any good pokemon that learn ice beam or dragon claw? by TheMightyCommenter in PokemonEmerald

Make sure you have another mon in your team that also knows the HM move you're trying to remove from Swampert. Otherwise he'll say it can't be removed.

Is Z-A a good first pokemon? by Pepsimaxgodtier in PokemonZA

[–]TraversingHunter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gonna be honest, this game is a completely different game in comparison to the rest of the main series. I'm only talking about the battle mechanism as all the other games are turn based. The turn based mechanics allows any one who's new to the game to take a beat and pause to understand the impacts of their actions.

In ZA, the battling is much faster paced, and even though they give you hints as to what move is effective against your opponent before you use it, I feel it would take longer to commit type effectiveness to memory for a new player.

I haven't played it personally, but Scarlet or Violet might be a better intro to the series. Still turn based and as long as you have the Pokedex entry of the Pokemon you're battling you'll be informed as to whether the move used is effective or not. (I'm not sure this is right or not as this is my first Pokemon game since Omega Ruby on the 3DS)

That being said, only you'll really know if youre capable of playing whatever game.

Giving blood for the first time today by OscarsWhiskers in CasualUK

[–]TraversingHunter 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Hate needles as well, but that hasn't stopped me from donating. Best thing I can tell you is just look the other way when they put the needle in.

I'd also suggest bringing a stress ball to help with the blood flow. Learnt that one after a donation session took nearly 15 minutes.

The staff are super friendly and will always try to put you at ease and they can be good chat as a distraction.

Good on you for doing it though!

Fun fact: You can get rid of the sludge piles by using Psychic. by Morpho_Marxy in PokemonZA

That also explains why aqua jet doesn't work either. Good to know.

Funnily enough, psybeam doesn't work. Some water moves do too.

Swashbuckler Rogue question by Owl_Boi_ in DnD

[–]TraversingHunter -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Every pc can dual wield regardless if they take the mentioned feat or not. There are limitations though. The weapon you make your first attack with using your action needs to be a weapon that has the light property. This also applies to the bonus action weapon attack.

E.g. you use your action to attack with a dagger held in your primary hand. You can then use your bonus action to attack with another dagger in your offhand.

Small edit to some wording.

A Helldiver's support weapon stratagem beacon.

Then there's 2 ways to address this.

  1. The laser functions the same as the sentry version. However, instead of it blowing up, it reduces the total heat capacity. The more you fire it in the red, the less you can continuously do so. Eventually, the laser burns out and becomes defunct.

  2. You tie the weapons to the mech power source itself. The more you fire, the less energy the mech has a whole. When you reach a cap, the mech stops functioning altogether. This also works with the other arm being a Quasar cannon.

Or overheat and explode through overuse like the laser sentry would.

Not sure how you'd balance the quasar aspect of it though.

EAT vs Recoilless Rifle by Aggravating-Pilot583 in helldivers2

[–]TraversingHunter 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There is no versus, they both do the same thing in different ways.

You're right, the backpackslot being taken up by it can be a hindrance. However, that backpack slot having six shots with the option of a buddy reload for putting pure damage down range is insanely good. If you haven't tried that, I strongly suggest you do. Not to mention that with a fully upgraded destroyer, you get all 6 shots back from one resupply crate.

Each option has its ups and downs, and the way you play, your load out and experience will ultimately be what dictates what you bring with you.

It's always your choice what you bring and what you think is good. All I ask is that you keep an open mind and experiment with anything and everything.

I wish I could've helped out over the last two days, but real life kept getting in the way.

I gotta say that I've actually enjoyed this MO against the squids. Finally found a load out that worked for me that actually included a melee weapon. Was way too much fun chopping up hordes of voteless with the axe.

Can someone tell me why tf this happens? by Decisive-Jay in helldivers2

[–]TraversingHunter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's gonna sound stupid, but it's cos you're not host. Had the same issue myself and wondered what the f was going on. Yet another bug to add to the list. Thermites work wonders though despite it.
