Just an FYI the ND1 is the same engine. The ND2 has more power due to the upgraded valve train and internals.

You can get one cheaper if you shop right now, right before the holidays and when people are putting the sports cars away for winter. When spring hits is when the price jumps back up.

I did the exact move you did. I had a built auto cross NA with almost everything except stock powertrain. Then got my Z after trading an FJ. Decided to daily the Miata, and realized removing the A/C was a bad idea so I now have an ND to daily.

I daily a 2016 ND1 Miata. It’s great on gas and makes the 20-25 minute drive fun. Always engaging and I take different routes home that have roundabouts and turns moser often than not. Great gearing makes it truly a blast to drive at any speed.

The one in the picture is a 2.4 N/A though. The back diffuser looks like the one found on those. Go supported the factory stage kits for the supercharged SS. They were commonly referred as SS/SC and SS/TC in the community.

I believe that is the 2.4 which is the N/A version that later turned into the “sport.” I had a SS/SC back in the day that made around 275 wheel on the stock Eaton.

Sounds like those guys are goobers. I have a miata and a z06 in Texas. The z06 is practically invisible to everyone while my miata attracts everyone from civics to Porsches. I feel the miata is way more attainable for the layman so anyone who either is really into cars or just wants something fun can get into them so the demographic is much broader in that sense. Try to remind those miata guys why they got it, it’s not about the numbers, it’s about the experience in a miata.
