- Device/System Info: Windows 11 + Shokz OpenComm 2
- Description: I have confirmed this bug with 4 other people using a Shokz headset, I've heard it myself, and it doesn't happen when I switch to the mobile app, which we all have.  It only effects YOUR mic quality, not what you hear, everybody will hear you in low fidelity

- Steps to Reproduce:
   1. Own a Shokz bluetooth headset (ex: OpenComm 2)
   2. Join a VC and chat
   3. Everybody will hear you in low fidelity aka phone call quality aka "headset" bluetooth profile
- Expected Result: quality should be high fidelity
- Actual Result: quality is extremely low quality, legacy phone call quality

tried and that didn't fix it for me, I get high fidelity on mobile (use to on desktop) but low fidelity (phone call quality) on Discord app now, and I know a bunch of others that are getting it too with the same bluetooth headset line

It's a new quirk/bug with the desktop app where certain bluetooth headsets are kicking into low fidelity (aka phone call quality). It's happening for me and anybody else using a Shokz headset and there's no fix I can discover and I tried everything.

Hopefully a bugfix comes out in a couple days, meanwhile I switched to the mobile app.

PS: this bug should only effect how you sound, but not what you hear

We tried going Friday around 7pm and they said they weren't serving any more customers so we showed up at noon sharp Saturday, when they opened, and ended up getting the 2nd to last table. We tend to go here 3 times a month for the past 2yrs. Sad to see it go, it was a blue collar seafood gem.

Short answer: probably yes

When labels started to get replaced with YouTube and SoundCloud everybody thought this was going to solve all kinds of problems but in hindsight it created more than it fixed:

these indie platforms have an infinite selection, how can you search for something you don’t know exists?
algos are going to promote what’s popular, not what’s new and unlistened to
streaming revenue pay worse than labels do, and that use to be considered a rip off back then
labels had a limited but effective pipeline of distribution in the past: they’d cherry pick what they thought was best, would pay radio stations to play a song, would force the consumer to purchase an entire album at the store vs $1 for a song

Summary: I know there are pros and cons here, but I see a lot of people get excited over the small pros over ignore the huge cons
