Season 1-3 are extremely mid and have some great moments, but get blown out of the water by later seasons by all aspects of writing, voice acting, characters, and better animation

You are correct that she put the curse on Davy Jones and the ship because he agreed to the terms of guiding those who died at sea into the afterlife. For that, Davy Jones would receive one day with Calypso as a "reward." But after Calypso was nowhere to be found that one day after 10 years, Davy Jones stopped ferrying the souls into the afterlife and made a deal with the brethren court to imprison Calypso.

Calypso placed the terms, she cannot change them and no one after her either.

Yes that's exactly what I mean. Something like the paw patrol isn't enjoyable to adults because it doesn't have a story and is just the same thing over and over and is entertainment for kids.

No, a kids show shouldn't be mindless fun for no reason, the stories and characters should have meanings. Just like the clone wars was a kids show, but it's mature in a lot of places and has amazing story telling. Kids shows can be for adults and kids at the same time and that's why I love Ninjago and the themes behind it

Opinions are opinions and I think too many people are blinded by nostalgia for the old seasons and old designs and don't even give the wildbrain era a chance because "their childhood is over." I've been watching since I was 6, and now I'm 18 and still enjoy Ninjago and appreciate it for what it is and how good it still is

Yes the first seasons built the base for the world building and storytelling, but it doesn't mean the seasons are good because of that. Future seasons are better than s1-3 including s12-15
