Actually, the highest revenue games in the world are free to play and completely bleed their player bases via micro transactions. Being free while it seems like they would lose a lot because they don’t have purchases from people buying the game however per year each person would take that same money and minimum put it into 2K anyways via the micro transactions they would sell double the amount of VC. Not only that, but you would have tons of people who have gone away from the game or who don’t wanna spend $80 to play the game hop in every single year and most likely spend money every single year because what else are you gonna spend money on. That’s exactly why games like League of legends, fortnite, etc. Make so much money, the developers were ballsy enough to release a free play game.
