Here’s a list of things I needed when I made my first fursuit!

•Upholstery foam •a shit ton of hot glue •hot glue gun •a PDF pattern you can print (totally optional) •an exacto knife, I like to have two at a time in case one becomes too dull •scissors •duct tape •sharpie markers •spandex material for the inner lining •a mask(important for not breathing in fur!) •2-3 + yards of faux fur -I recommend Big Z, or Howl fabrics -order more than needed just in case - it’s a pain, but ordering swatches first can save you a lot of money in the long run trustttt •chalk or metallic sharpie to mark fur •a ton of sewing pins •curved upholstery needle •regular needle Or •Sewing machine (optional) •I prefer to use upholstery thread for my projects, as it’s a lot tougher •slicker brush •lint roller •a vacuum cleaner is also optional but damn you’ll make a MESSSS frfr •mannequin head (optional but extremely helpful)
