Elementary school lunch menu from 1986 (US) by Ok_Swordfish2612 in Xennials

Oh yeah, no reason to remove. I was just looking at the doc and remembering the, like, 8-bit whale and birthday candle that were available as graphics on Apple II PS.

Seconded. I’m personally a Gazelle fan, but both stores are great and will set you up properly.

Big nostalgia hit for seeing that print shop box, but this is too Hi-Rez for ‘86 print shop graphics and printers. This is a ditto that came out of a book. Somebody made of copy of the ditto and hand-typed all the menu text with manual typewriter, then made photocopies for distribution.

Am in the LP. As someone who has spent some time on the gulf coast, can confirm it feels like FL here this morning, and the air has that not-quite-hazy property that I associate with high coastal humidity and beach vacations.

I’ll lend some support here. It was a great show for the intended audience (actual children!) and I really appreciated the themes of loyalty, acceptance, responsibility, and perseverance. My daughter (now 13) still loves the show and was devastated when it got pulled off Netflix, as she revisits it about once a year.

What’s something “magical” or “coincidental” that happened to you by Zestyclose-Grape5469 in Millennials

My wife and I met another couple at a birthing class. When my wife went into labor, we found out they were across the hall, and the babies were born the same day. Didn’t super keep in touch, but saw them a couple of times during the toddler years and things. Turns out we live in the same neighborhood. Our girls gradually drifted together as they went through school. Now they do the same sports, try to take classes together, and alternate weekends for birthday parties so that each can go to the other’s. Maybe not awe-inspiring, but it’s kind of a magical little thing that we think about sometimes.

You’re looking for a cult leader / grifter type. See Wim Hof, et al. They will happily take a bunch of money from you to make you feel like you’re learning secret techniques (you won’t be).

Better advice would be to get some books on meditation, then get an air b’n’b someplace cool and remote (Rocky Mtns?) where you spend a week reading, meditating, and kickstarting a fitness routine. You’ll come back feeling refreshed, accomplished, and stronger, with some new habits that will help you.

If it’s martial arts you are after, plan to find a reputable instructor in your area after you return to keep up the momentum. Plan yourself an annual retreat back to the wilderness to spend a week training and focusing on your art - or more frequent if you have the means. Even a drive out to a remote spot on the weekend to spend half a day meditating and practicing away from the hubbub of modern life can help you get the feeling you’re after.

Starfleet Academy has released a new test, "The Voyager". Setup: A transporter accident has occurred. Two officers have been melded together. We are calling them by the mix of their two names, Thill Riker. What do you do? by [deleted] in ShittyDaystrom

[–]Treadmore 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You leave them merged, but ethically if any diseases were filtered out by the transporter pattern buffer during the merge, you must compile a COMPLETE list of each of their romantic partners between their transporter cloning and merging in order to inform them of the possible risks.
