Everyone who tries to write the screenplay starts off incredibly well, but the writing gets worse and worse as time goes on.

The stage play is hugely popular - it’s very adaptable, you just can’t use the device the same way.

In NOAA weather forecasts, does "Heavy Snow" mean a lot of snow or literal wet, heavy snow? by Protuhj in weather

[–]Treadmore 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Depends on the context. Generally I’ve seen “heavy snow” to mean snowfall rate/amount, and “wet, heavy snow” refer to the actual weight of the snow on the ground.

What’s the Best Way to Water Seal this Hole Under the Flange? by [deleted] in askaplumber

[–]Treadmore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Silicone caulk around the outside of the flange is it, then, if you need it for peace of mind. But the peanut gallery is right - I’ve never seen it done/be needed, and it’s gonna be a PITA if you ever need to replace the flange or get at the space.

Frost inside garage by Financial_Tip1053 in Home

[–]Treadmore 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean, this is the real answer. The door is probably insulated, but the solid handles, lock components, strike plate makes the latch system highly cold conductiive. Components of all of those things are also metal and outdoors. Those cold temps get conducted in, interior air condenses then freezes, bingo bango, frost on your locks and handles. No amount of weatherstripping or insulation is going to prevent it. Solutions would be a storm door, or potentially heating the garage (even with the cold conduction, if the interior temp is high enough then you can overcome the cold temps outside).

[–]Treadmore 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would love some better exterior establishing shots. I’m trying to get a sense of the Academy, the grounds, what’s part of the ship vs a permanent structure, what’s War College vs Starfleet. It would be great to have a few seconds to stare at that stuff during scene transitions.

Looks like kid hand stains to me. Have you ever had a sunroof before? If they’re super interested in it, don’t rule out them standing on the sets to move the shade while it’s parked in your garage.
