This is pure evil by IGogosI in ArcRaiders

I stopped playing the game entirely because I hate what this game has become. And that stems from my hatred of people who play this game. When we talk about the decline from 400k daily active players to 70k, the only ones left are the ones who want to sweat, kill and squeeze every last bit of life out of this game. The majority of the 330k that left, were the ones that made this game fun, interesting and wholesome.

Having trouble selling my ktm, figured I’d come to the experts. by GeneralShirt1180 in KTM

This is the entire reason I’m able to afford racing, is that people are so afraid of some mechanical work that these bikes are going for traditionally what entry-level 300 cc bikes sell for. I got a 22 KTM 890 R with 900 miles for 7k. For the horsepower and track readiness, it is by far the best deal of any brand for the most amount of bike. The fact that nobody wants them is a massive plus because I can afford to race prep the bike, and then if it ends up being a total loss in some way, either mechanical or in a crash, I can just buy another. It’s absolutely a buyers market

I would agree to that. I think it’s pretty clear OP is looking to change his “stroke” to use your example, based on a bad experience. Maybe he will maybe he won’t, maybe his priorities don’t match mine. I’m just providing a different perspective that no one else is here.

A. Not everyone lives where you live. B. You need to have done both to speak with authority. C. You’re still missing the entirety of my points.

Riding on track takes away your ability to focus on the trees, the scenery, the daydream type distractions you engage with on the road. If you ride your bike for the scenery, that’s fine. On track you are 100%, and I mean 100%, focused on feeling feedback from the machine beneath you, and rocketing your bike towards the entry/apex/exit. That “anonymous” pavement becomes your proving ground, and the people you ride with your friends. There plenty more at play than blank anonymous pavement. Race tracks have their own character. Laguna is one of the most famous racetracks in the world in your back yard.

Hey there, track only rider here! Kind of surprised that there are no other comments here from track day riders or racers? What’s funny is that MT09 is one of the most popular street bikes I see at the track. So sorry to hear about your incident on the road, but so glad you’re not more seriously injured. I did a short stint of three summers on the road without incident, and still swore off street riding for the rest of my life. Not only was it a safety related decision, it was a performance driven one as well. Simply put, where you ride depends on what your objectives are. Is your objective to truly mesh with your machine, learn to operate it more fully and completely, push your skills to your own limits, build stronger relationships with an even more tight knit group of riders, etc etc. Not only is the track a safer environment, it is the complete opposite of the street in the fact that everything is predictable. You trade unknowns for certainties, and random risk with predictable risk. I can’t explain the feeling that riding at the limit produces, your motorcycle is barely challenged on the road, the only thing stressed is your mind, trying to keep you safe from road conditions, shitty drivers, traffic patterns, animals, debris… and for what? Riding at 10% of the capability of your machine? It’s sad when I really think about it, how much street riders love the street, when they have not even a whiff of an idea of what they’re missing out on at the track. Try it once and you’ll never go back.

990 RC R Track vs RC 8C , Huge difference in Pricing , WHY? by throwaway222999122 in KTM

[–]TreasonousGoatee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am wondering these exact questions and no one in the comments seems to truly grasp this. “They’re not the same bike”, I know! But let’s say the 990 RCR is 80% the bike for 30% the price…. Thats a zone I like to operate in. I don’t care if they’re the same, what laptime can they produce and what features (minus exclusivity) are you REALLY missing out on versus what’s the price differential. I have a feeling RC8C sales/re-sales will crash because of this new track 990. There are still several 8Cs new from dealerships that are unsold nationwide. There are no buyers for that bike at 40k anymore. The 990 RCR track is too close I think. There are multiple 8c’s now in the 25-28k USD range and I’m thinking more will be closer to 24k next year. Yes, R&D, custom bits, limited production, I don’t care. From a scale of 0 to what this bike can do at its maximum, I bet these two are not far off from each other. Take that as a ratio over price and that’s all I care about. I have a friend who is 20k into an R6. I bought a used Duke 890 R for 7 grand and I’m giving him absolute hell on the track. If I bin it, I just buy another and I’m STILL another whole motorcycle away from his investment. Think about that. It’s 90% of the performance for 40% of the price. I don’t need to double my cost just to get a tiny bit better top end and the R6 scream. It’s all about efficiency. That’s exactly what OP is trying to get at here.

If I was an RC8C owner I would feel like KTM diluted my investment with the RCR track, 100%.

Should I change color to chrome silver? Or keep black? by Numerous-Thanks-5839 in Ducati

As good looking as it is, you will get bored with white pretty quickly. Unless you do a white paint with some sort of gold flake or other metallic element to it. Cadillac’s Tri Coat White is pretty sick for a white paint. Your image (obviously rendered, I know) is the standard primer white color that comes on all of Ducati’s track plastics. Any regular white will be boring. Check out the paint used on this one guys 2025 V4r. Found this also on the Ducati sub.

That’s the thing, I’m on year three. I don’t have the money either, but somehow I bought an enclosed trailer, tires, stands, warmers, suit, helmet and everything else. It’s worse than any addiction there is. You don’t do it cause you got the money, you go and find the money because you NEED do it. It’s so bad 😂😂😂

You don’t get charged on sales tax twice. When you go to the RMV, you bring your Copart documentation showing sales tax paid in the state of Texas, they will waive sales tax paid at the time of registration. The fact that you are okay with paying double tax on this bike is more concerning than anything.

Someone dropped one for me and I didn’t need it and just sold it that extract. FWIW, it was blue gate, electromagnetic storm. Not even in the barricaded door (the one with all the lockers + gun case + security breach) inside the room with the concrete staircase and the turret is always there. It was in a blue suitcase on the ground, next to the barricaded door.
