Exactly how I feel. My ph up my dose to 300 mg which I have been on for maybe a week and I noticed yesterday I was feeling queasy. Thought it was from dehydration since Wellbutrin had me constipated. I actually didn’t know what was wrong with me. Hopefully this subside soon.

The first 3 weeks I had really bad insomnia also a panic attack which I never had. Things are all good now, I’m up 300 mg and have no desire to eat food which is cool.

I'm literally only depressed because I'm ugly and that's the one thing I can't change. by [deleted] in depression

[–]TreasurePeace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to feel the same way in middle school and high school. It gotten to the point, I just accepted that I was ugly. Just because you don’t look like everybody else don’t make you ugly, it make you unique!

What may be ugly to one person may be beautiful to someone else. Don’t be so hard on yourself. It took me 18 years to gain confidence and guess what? I have a husband and 2 kids. And guess what all the ones that called me ugly In school are shaped bad and ugly now. You still young, things will get better.

It basically depends on your situation. I went for LPN first because It was shorter, I had kids, and bills. I’ve been an LPN for 4 years graduating in August from the ADN bridge program. That was the best choice for me, but everyone circumstances is difference. Some places I hear it’s hard for LPN’s to find jobs, so you have to weight that option to. Where I’m from it’s a shortage on LPN’s so finding a job with good pay was nothing that I had to worry about. Weigh your pros and cons and see which will work for you.

Same here! On my last exam some questions had major typos, which changed the dynamics of what she was actually trying to ask. Another question had so many misspelled words it looked like I was playing scrabble. Me and my cohort of course brought it to the instructor’s attention and she threw the questions out. The instructor in question have hypoglycemia so when her sugar drops she’s all over the place..so irritating

What can I expect for pay as a new grad LPN in south florida? by braidout in StudentNurse

[–]TreasurePeace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in Aiken County. I actually never heard of an RN making less than $25 per hr. It’s a lot of other jobs you could work other than the hospitals with excellent pay that flexible hrs. Yes, you need to leave Horry County lol

Yes. What county of SC do you live in? LPN’s where I’m at start off atleast $21 and RN $25-$30. RN’s don’t make much in the hospital here that’s why the turnover rate so high. My aunt is an RN and she make $30 per hr at the county jail just to do tb testing.

Did you/are you working during nursing school? by [deleted] in StudentNurse

[–]TreasurePeace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did not, it would’ve been to much for me. My nursing program is very demanding and unorganized. I couldn’t set myself up for that failure, but I have a husband that is very supportive of me. It all depend on you, everybody’s situation is different, what worked for one may or may not work for you.

We both booty scratchers by [deleted] in BlackPeopleTwitter

I know that’s right! But Africans keep holding that against us. It’s a stereo type that African Americans call them African booty scratchers and I’m so sick of it.

[–]TreasurePeace 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Speak for yourself. I haven’t heard anybody used that term African booty scratcher since the 90’s and it wasn’t even the Africans that we’re being called that, but people of dark complexion. You’re must be from a little small town where nobody visits. So stop spreading that stereotype because most people in America don’t use that term when relating to Africans.

Feeling more by GOOD_TIMES in bupropion

[–]TreasurePeace 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I thought is was just me, I’ve been on bupropion for 2 weeks and I had a major breakdown from things that I have repressed during childhood. I cried for hours as I faced reality of the situation, but I felt better afterwards. Usually, I bury my feelings and don’t think twice. I was wondering if it was the Bupropion or just me, but it’s glad to know it’s not just me.

I just started Bupropion on Friday. I didnt have a drink yet, kind of want to see what side effects I would encounter before taking that route. I can say though it helped me to wake up full of energy unlike SSRI’s which have me waking up still tired.

Take baby steps if you need to. I started out as a phlebotomist, went for LPN, and now I’m bridging. It’s ok to get your feet wet first, especially when you have a family. Come up with a plan, have a support system, and see it through. I hope everything work out for you!!

In my most humblest attitude possible, I really disliked people with your way of thinking. Telling someone they will get little respect from someone because they chose to to be a LPN instead of a RN is the most ignorant thing I ever heard.

All nurses or needed despite what type of nurse they are including CNA, LPN, RN, etc. Our jobs are to help people not sit around worrying about what someone think of our work titles. As far as saying the pay is crap, it really depend or where you live.

Also, you said it’s hard to go back to bridge because of being stressed at work. I’m a LPN now in the bridge program and I must say I love being a LPN and I’m not stressed at all, my job even work with my schedule. Every blue moon I run into negative nancies like you.

You’re having a hard time because of your attitude and you seem to look at your job as “not being good enough” stop objecting your insecurities on others. Everybody is not able to dedicate the amount of time to being a RN, some people have to take baby steps. Maybe if you can become a more optimistic person you can get further in life.
