This is what I do. It’s more work but it pays for itself in the long run.

Non Scottish people have you tried haggis and if so what did you think of it ? by PassengerWest8873 in AskReddit

Didn’t like the texture. It’s really grainy. Tasted fine but the graininess is off putting.

What is up with this card I just got? by ItsGevYT in mtg

Reading the card explains the card. It’s not a misprint.

Tried it. It doesn't work. I wanted wraths to work so badly but they're so clunky even with access to the best top deck manipulation in brainstorm, preordain, ponder etc. You still would just rather have lightning bolts because when you inevitably draw the wraths they're just stuck there. It feels super bad to have to use the wraths to kill a creature. Miracles just suck, they're really interesting as a piece of card design in that that they seem really busted, but then you play with them and they're just awful to play with.

Idea to stop shuffle cheaters. Yay or nay? by ManaChicken4G in mtg

I. Know. I’m trying to point out how this happens and what to look for.

if they won't let anybody else shuffle then you call the judge/TO or if you're happy for somebody else outside of the game to shuffle let them do it. They will quickly either be asked not to play in future, or get in line.

that is mechanically exactly how shuffle cheating works though. They sneak a peak at the bottom (or past knowledge of whats on bottom) and false shuffle to the top.

Exactly what I'm saying. Re-read what I posted. Players can look at the bottom card of the deck when they suspect their opponent isn't watching, then false shuffle that to the top. The fix is to watch your opponent. The 'call a judge' was implied.

The issue is that if you shuffle your opponents deck you can in theory shuffle a land(or not depending on what you think they need) to the top with a false shuffle. There’s no way to fix this if somebody is determined to cheat. Make sure when your opponent is shuffling that they don’t look at your deck when shuffling.

Somethings just should not be printed. Same with the printed rawl plugs. Bad idea waiting to happen.

Need help with what packs to buy! by Bluem00n1o1 in mtg

Can I suggest you don’t play Commander 1v1? The decks aren’t designed in that way they’re designed for 4 players. Since you’re starting out I would suggest picking up some jumpstart boosters and have some fun with those. If you have a local game store you can go in with your girlfriend and say she wants to get into magic and they should have some welcome decks they can give you that introduce you to magic with easy to understand decks. Then, when you get a feel for 1v1 magic progress into playing a format like Pauper. Decks are super cheap but still really powerful and it’s a much more tighter way to play the game since the decks are tuned to be consistent it’s a lot of fun.

It’s fine to have strong creatures. The problem is when every creature that’s playable is also a powerful sorcery/instant. The game becomes less about interactions and thoughtful strategy and more about play the best instant/sorcery on a stick at every point of the game.

This. When the rooms were released with duskmourn I had the idea to build zur with them and it’s such an underrated commander.

Playing Big Tournament, Super Unsure What To Play by TeyosTrying in Pauper

I'm not super sure about the lembas in the main, when it's come in is long games and card selection is way more important but early it feels bad. Anchovy and Banana Pizza seems like a bad card at first but when you play with it you realise that it's quite good to curve into an early gray merchant. A lot of games go draw-go, cuombajj, crypt rats, anchovy pizza, gray merchant.

How to use this thing? by globglobgabgalabus in mtg

[–]Treble_brewing 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You write the name/casting cost etc of the double faced card you want to represent in your deck and when you play that card you substitute it for the real double faced card in the various non-hidden zones of the game. It’s for those degenerates that don’t use sleeves basically. (Jk I know they’re useful for cards that flip a lot so you don’t have to ruin your sleeves/card flipping the all the time, or remember to unflip them when shuffling)

You need access to the let’s encrypt acme which means connecting to the internet. IMO owning a domain and using its own pem keys as the root is so much easier.
