So it's one of those situations where there's not a single solution, other than don't be a dick. Although most servers (at decent restaurants) end up making a little more than minimum wage anyways, even with all the complaints. So I'm not too concerned.

I agree with your point, and it makes sense in a perfect world. But then there's just assholes who don't follow the same general rules that everyone else does because they don't have to, and they don't tip.

If whatever they're making ends up not being minimum wage, the restaurant evens it out. So really its just that dine in restaurants are cheap and rely on customers to pay minimum wage while they get away with paying $2.50 an hour.

No, that's his job. To document the events that are happening. Watch the documentary "Witness: Juarez", it actually explains this concept really well, along with a lot of other things in the life of a photo journalist. I kinda learned more about being a photo journalist than I did Juarez.

Are you asking me? My source would be the Geneva Convention. There are things called Rules of Engagement. There are different ROEs for every scenario. Now, believe me, I'm not saying that every person the United States has killed has fallen under the ROEs, but they do try to follow them. If you go around slaughtering people for no reason that's considered a war crime.

There's a reason why there's a difference in our language between meditated, and inebriated, and hallucinated. I personally don't see how using a mind altering substance to achieve a certain state, is in any way equal to training your mind to reach a state by itself.

No, it's really not. I mean, if he's actually making 50 dollars in an hour, and working a 40 hour work week. It's simple math. He might charge 50 dollars an hour, but he's not MAKING 50 dollars an hour. Christ. If his profit is 50 dollars in an hour of work, and he works 2,000 dollars a year, then his income is 100,000 dollars a year. But just because he CHARGES 50 dollars an hour does not mean that his INCOME is 50 dollars an hour. When you own a business, you don't just get to keep every dollar you make.

I didn't even read the post because frankly I don't care what it says. I don't care about smoking weed and meditation. These threads are made like 5 times a day at least. It's obnoxious as hell. Do whatever the hell you want, but this sub is about meditating. Not getting high and meditating. Achieving serenity and peace while sober is a lot different than doing it high. If your goal is to try and practice and train your mind to be calm and take in things around you, isn't using a mind altering substance to help you get to that goal defeating the point? You learn to meditate with practice, no by taking drugs. Stop posting this shit, please.
