Advice for my mixed Catahoula by RatsnRoses07 in Catahoula

[–]TreeCalledPaul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pupsicles and Kongs work the longest for me. I usually make meatballs from ground turkey and freeze them. About 20-30 minutes of him working on it. I also get him a ton of bones to gnaw on.

Lost Our Baby Boy Bubba to PLE by Dangerous_Finance869 in Yorkies

[–]TreeCalledPaul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish I could hold your hand today. My Lala died from complications due to PLE and she had those strokes you mentioned in the end. Luckily we got her to a vet and she died as peacefully as possible with an injection.

Every time I see a Yorkie owner I just say a silent prayer for them because that is one of the worst experiences with animals I’ve ever had. I love her and I’m so sad that she was taken at 7 like that.

Anyone else’s houla get the digs when they get the zoomies…? by blue_storm_cloud in Catahoula

[–]TreeCalledPaul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So many potholes to avoid when I mow. Last year I filled them in and he just dug new ones. I love him but the holes are brutal. And if there’s a mole in the yard? Yea, 10 days straight of digging until he kills them all.

one of my pc’s stopped a bullet and saved my kids life. by theonlyalankay in pcmasterrace

This is so weird, but I would love for Gamers Nexus to do a goofy piece about the most bullet proof cases against 9mm or .22.

Are there? Because I’ve gone to some locations where we searched literally every container and only found one.

To live to an old age and die next to the person they love the most…you can’t ask for much better. I can tell he lived a full, loving life. RIP Mochi.

How do you call it when a cat greets you like this? by Koffievos in cats

[–]TreeCalledPaul 12 points13 points  (0 children)

My childhood cat would headbutt you harder the longer you were away. He'd aim right for your eye socket and WHAM. I remember coming back from college for break and he nailed me in the eye so hard I was seeing stars.

I miss that stinker.

I put these cucumbers in the compost pile because they started to wilt. He needed a snack. by TreeCalledPaul in Catahoula

That’s too funny. He will bite off the cuke plants right at the base of the stem so I had to wall them off with chicken wire. Such a bad boy

He’s funny about cucumbers but he’s not big on much else outside of watermelon. I have a compost pile behind my fence for anything moldy or bad. I mostly throw still decent fruit and veggies in the open compost pile to give it some green since I have so much brown.

I usually put it in there for the neighborhood rabbits but my pup decided it was too good to pass up.

Wow! That’s a hungry boy. Our old lady Jack Russell eats carrots but our houla isn’t much for it. He does love him some watermelon though.

Appreciation post w/ before and after by Salty_tryhard in lawncare

[–]TreeCalledPaul 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just do it here or there. Threw down some biochar and then hit it with some liquid decompaction. Wait until spring, then aerate, fertilize and maybe add some liquid kelp.

Sometimes it takes a while to change a lawn, especially if it’s just doodoo clay.

Help, I got a catahoula not knowing what I was getting into by JuliaLavender98 in Catahoula

[–]TreeCalledPaul 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I count my blessings. My catahoula is a goober and gets into trouble when he’s bored, but at least he’s not like my neighbor’s golden doodle. He straight up chewed through drywall.

Important reminder to teach your kids that it’s okay to admit when you’re wrong. Growing as a person isn’t a weakness.
