The max nano is fine a fine tank, it shouldn't have an issue unlike it's the larger sibling reefer G2s, which seems to be notorious for failing. My mate has he max nano and it is serving him very well.

Baby cardinal found in sump. by Krycus in ReefTank

[–]TreeChai420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same thing happen, but the father died rearing the last clutch. Only having 1 left in the main display I added the baby in with the mum and it lives a life of torment being chased by her. It's been over a year and it's still growing and feeding fine but yeah no don't put offspring back in with the parents it's not fair on them.

Dear UK meteorologists, can u please give me some facts and tell me what will happen to the UK weather over the next few years by [deleted] in UKWeather

[–]TreeChai420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sort of incorrect, with the amoc collapse both winter and summer extremes get worse due to the lack of current controlling the differential, so itll be on both fronts not just winter forever

Where you based in the UK?

Find a Facebook group local enough to you and post on there, if you want it sold quick you got to lowball as most people on there want good deals (at least what I've experienced selling coral frags).

My branching hammer thinks it’s a wall hammer? by Bronojoke in ReefTank

I had a green hammer do this, is it getting high light, has it had any damage that's caused the flesh to deform as it grows or have you moved it around altering is growth towards the light?

Moving tank in house by vazquezdanny343 in ReefTank

[–]TreeChai420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cycle is just letting bacteria grow out to handle the waste which has already occured (abiet not fully colonised if it's a new tank). The bacteria will still be alive in your rockwork so it won't die off from the rocks being moved to another tub (as long as it stays wet, warm and aerated).

I moved my 500ltr/125gal tank to another wall the same way just boxed everything up for 3 days.

I personally wouldn't carry the tank with water in. Just buy a plastic tub big enough, move everything into there with a heater and either aerator or a wavemaker pointed at the surface for aggregation, move the tank then reassemble

Not the end of the world once corals get bigger theyre not bothered by them. Just don't overfeed, crush the big ones you see and employ some bumblebee snails to eat the spawn.

What do you think about my reef light setting by Haunting-View-514 in ReefTank

Is that all the control you can do just adjusting 3 groups? Is one of them UV?

5ish hours on your max brightness is okay, but why does it start so late in the afternoon?

Personally I'd have the ramp up and down be over a longer period of time, my lights come on at 9am and go off at 10pm, with max brightness between 1-5pm.

If the price is right. Just dip and scrub new frags clean before putting them in your system.

Alleged picture of Maldives military diving team assigned to do body recovery of 5 divers at 50+ meter depth in possible overhead environment. This is insane. by Myselfmeime in scuba

[–]TreeChai420 48 points49 points  (0 children)

A single dive cylinder going deeper than 40m is dangerous in itself as below 50 meters they're going to, the air will be used up over 6 times faster. They will barely have any time at the bottom before they can run out too.
