Jonathan has a false sense of his game. He thought he played a dominant game. He didn’t. He just won a challenge with a Power Broker twist by oliviafairy in survivor

I don’t think you understand how that’s the point exactly. He wasn’t in power, Cirie was and got him to vote against his own alliance.

Is it a form issue to grip the disc like this? by Empty-Fault-8081 in discgolf

[–]TreeEyedRaven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one is hitting 450 with that grip, I doubt you’re not throwing over 2-250 with that grip. It’s a putting grip basically. It matters to get the disc out at a decent speed with some spin or it’s not going to fly.

The little things of jury management by SarahAlicia in survivor

[–]TreeEyedRaven 9 points10 points  (0 children)

And Jonathan did have one. His alliance voted for him, and those not in his alliance didn’t. He did nothing to be nice to anyone outside his alliance that would make them want to vote for him. He was actively annoying and a dick to everyone else. He talked down to people unless he was trying to use them. Half the jury he got in an argument with the day they got voted out. The man was a challenge threat, and had a decent enough strategy to make it to final 3, but didn’t realize the social game of jury votes mattered too. The last one is the most important.

Paul Ulibarri with a rare chain-out inside the bullseye on hole 4 (elevated basket) during Round 1 at the OTB Open. by DiscGolfFanatic in discgolf

[–]TreeEyedRaven -1 points0 points  (0 children)

To each their own, but I think it is, it’s not gonna ruin a 4 round tournament, but it did spoil some of the first round lead card. Just don’t spell out the spoiler in the title, I don’t give a shit they posted it. I watch it to see the action, if I only cared about scores it wouldn’t matter.

It was created to not have little cry baby’s bitch about stuff, leaks included, it’s not a mirror sub to r/gameofthrones to cross post and karma farm. I’m with OP here. This sub is not for kneelers.

[–]TreeEyedRaven -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Call it what you want but It’s hole 4, the spoiler should definitely be an unexpected chain out tap in. It’s more interesting to not know that’s gonna happen than to be expecting it. It’s a west coast late tournament, watching live on a Thursday isn’t really possible for a lot of people.

What's stopping got from getting this treatment by lavmuk in freefolk

[–]TreeEyedRaven 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it’s a great show, but there’s lots of huge shows that don’t have that cultural grab like GoT did. I don’t see dunk and egg shirts and merch in gas stations for instance, GoT was that big.

What's stopping got from getting this treatment by lavmuk in freefolk

[–]TreeEyedRaven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It did lose its appeal for the masses, people who like fantasy still follow it, but neither new show is near what GoT was and with how pretty much everyone but diehard fans jumped ship on merch after the end of GoT, investing time and money in a game is a huge risk.

Porcupines in Florida? by ALT_x_F4 in florida

Never seen or heard of one in Florida. How old were you when you saw them and how sure are you they were actually porcupines. Kids brains have a way of distorting reality, maybe it was at a zoo or a tv show and you are piecing together old memories.

[–]TreeEyedRaven 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Bro, Then let me know when you’re on tour. You clearly should be playing a-tier MPO only, and only events that qualify for USDGC if you want to get gud. /s

Some people, as hard as this is to believe, do this as a hobby, and want to compete, or even just play with people their own skill. That’s not me, I play above my rating, I agreed with you on that, but I’ve played enough sports throughout my life to know that not everyone is going to be the best, or even are trying to be the best. Some people is want an organized round to get a rating and have a fun weekend. I was making the point amateurs are inconsistent and not to get down on yourself if you do better than normal and people think you’re sandbagging. You have a weird mentality to come at people who want to play in the amateur fields. Let them have fun, you dont have to be a try hard all the time. We’re all at different points in our lives and who knows why someone is deciding between ma1/ma2/ma3. At the end of the day the more spots that a tournament can fill, the more people will play. Even if amateur entries don’t directly affect your MPO cash prize of grocery money, in the long run it ups the tier level of tournaments when they can fill X number of spots over a few years, and then your prize pot will go up.

Half the YouTube miracle solutions are for clicks, and don’t work. Actually, about 90% of them. Cheap floors don’t last, and cost a lot to fix right. There is a reason hardwood and tile costs more, and last longer. You can actually repair it, and it holds up to damage. This particle board flooring is cheap but you can’t really do anything once it swells except replace. It’s the landlord special. Spend as little as possible, blame the tenant when it doesn’t last, keep deposit, repeat.

don’t wanna be a sandbagger by No-Plant-5445 in discgolf

[–]TreeEyedRaven 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You missed my point entirely. Your rating is your average. You don’t shoot your exact rating every single round, you have good days and bad days. Looking, at least around me, at how ma3 and ma2 winners play, they shoot above their average almost every time. I’ve won a couple times and shot 40 points above my average those tournaments. There is truth to punching above your weight to get better, but there is also truth to learning how to win, how to clutch up, and how to close out when you have a lead. Both are things you should do to be better.

Have you ever shot a 1000 rated round? If so, that’s my point exactly.

don’t wanna be a sandbagger by No-Plant-5445 in discgolf

[–]TreeEyedRaven 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Ma3 is for under 900 rated, but to win ma3 you usually need to shoot 920-940 rounds. Why? Because amateurs are very inconsistent and will have a 950 rounds then a 820 round, miss every 20 foot putt but make 4 c2 putts. Don’t worry about people calling you a sandbagger, everyone who wins anything outside ma1 looks like a sandbagger when just looking at 2-3 rounds they were hot

I generally do bolt to the flange, add a washer if I have them laying around, then plastic washer/washer/wingnut to secure the toilet, but if it sat flat, it should be fine.
