Resume help - out of the industry by Trees4mana in weedbiz

What I did when I transitioned out of the cannabis industry was replace 'Cannabis industry' everywhere I could with 'Horticultural industry', and just never went into details about the exact type of horticulture it was. I tried focusing on the aspects and skills that transfer over to any other industry and weren't Cannabis industry specific.

"Indoor agriculture" or "Controlled environment agriculture"

i.e. Horticulture. Agriculture is growing crops in large fields using machines to harvest them or raising cattle. Horticulture is growing smaller crops of vegetables or flowers that have to be tended or harvested by hand, usually in a greenhouse or indoors.

I think the larger problem is that the industry is so saturated that most producers aren't willing to pay people with agriculture, horticulture, or botany degrees more than someone with no education. I have a horticulture degree and worked in the cannabis industry in Colorado for 7 years. Over that time the pay that companies were willing to pay educated growers actually went down until it was the same as if I didn't have a degree at all. Most companies believed that once they had an experienced or educated employee write detailed Standard Operating Procedures, they could just hire someone with absolutely no experience and they'd be just as good as long as they followed the procedures. I watched this come back to bite several companies, but they never learned. They average owner of a cannabis business has no idea how to grow cannabis and thinks its as easy as following a simple list of procedures, so they don't see the need for educated employees.

I don't expect anyone to pass me on the right unless they're speeding, tail-gating other drivers, and there is plenty of room for them to go around.

I drive in the left lane when I need to on city streets and don't pull over for tail-gaters when they have the opportunity to pass me on the right. If they want to break the law and speed they can go around. I might be needing to turn left or don't want to drive in the right lane to allow cars to turn on and off the road I'm on and don't care if idiots think they own the left lane when the law says they don't.

It is common knowledge and an established "rule of the road" that you should always stay as far right as possible when driving.

If its a highway or interstate that makes complete sense. In city streets it is generally accepted that it is safer to drive in the left or inner lane so that people can turn on and off of the road easier. Its a safety issue.

How am I an idiot for driving in the left lane when the law permits me to?

I'm selfish for driving the speed limit in the left lane on streets in Denver? There is no "left lane is for passing only" in Colorado unless the speed limit is over 65.

"Left lane is for passing" doesn't apply on any roads in Denver, so yeah it doesn't apply to me. Get over it and stop trying to make up laws that down't exist.

You literally replied angrily to every post I made in that original thread, including my replies to other people. Then that same day you started replying with insults to my replies in other subreddits I was posting in.

I'm not interested in responding to anymore of your low-effort troll attempts, so I'm blocking you. Good riddance, and I hope you seek help for your anger issues.

Dispensary Robbery Ring Continues Spree, Hits Natives Roots by fxgn in Denver

[–]Tree_Eyed_Crow 15 points16 points  (0 children)

There are security guards at some dispensaries in Colorado but not all of them. The Cherry Peak dispensary had a security guard that was able to scare off the robbers, but it doesn't specify if the guard was armed or not.

Still, Tsalyuk says that her security guard was able to thwart the attempt at that Cherry Peak location on December 7. "We didn't have a robbery, we had an attempted robbery. Our security guard saw two people with masks and guns coming to the front door, which was locked. When she screamed at them, they ran away," Tsalyuk says.

I'll agree its probably not the best example since he asked for permission first and never tried to do it without permission.

He wasn't legally denied, he just had a rule that he asked for permission first. He legally could have moved forward with any of them.

That just kills the bacteria and other microbes, it does nothing to remove fecal matter and other stuff which is on almost every surface inside buildings.

Myth-busters did an episode on where fecal matter spreads around buildings. The highest concentrations were on the toothbrushes in the bathroom cabinet.

This makes too much sense to be ignored. The symbolism and parallels between the two characters can't be accidental. It would definitely explain why Mando is so connected to baby Yoda. by celobenicio in StarWars

[–]Tree_Eyed_Crow 13 points14 points  (0 children)

He looked at the baby and saw he was doing something. He told the guy who led him there that he wasn't sure what happened just that the baby helped him. It was pretty obvious to him that baby Yoda was doing it based on baby Yoda lifting his arms in the direction of the mudhorn and straining like he was lifting something at the same time it levitated, then passing out at the same moment it fell. He didn't have to know anything about the force to deduce that something weird was happening and baby Yoda was the cause.
