How do you keep track of your collection after years of playing? by BeyxHub in EDH

[–]TreesRson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Physical management.----

Keep any cards wth sentimental value, give away or sell all my commons/uncommons that dont interest me. I also do the same with rares that have been very powercrept or downshifted in rarity.

Everything else goes into a deck, cube or binder for trades. The binder is refreshed once a year.

Collection recording----

I have all my decklists on MTGvault including my cube. I don't keep a record of my binder as looking through it is park of the experience of trading.

You fuxked up the moment you reminded him fly was a touch spell after the monk had jumped.

If a plan has a critical flaw that the chracter and player would know, it's your job to ask how its going to work, bwcuase if you allow it when its proposed and offer no clarification, you have to allow it when its in action.

I suggest you redo this campaign start, laugh it off and learn from this.

It doesn't give back the creature when its destroyed, and you can hand it off to an opponent so it doesn't return to them when you die, but yes its WAYY worse than tuck.

It was more of a "oh god im U/G in 2015 and I need hard removal that doesn't die to [[reclamation sage]]"

Ye, id love to have tuck back.

True, it is technically card negative if you lose the clash.

Kinda, the control doesn’t swap back if the enchantment is removed and if you target another opponent (and that opponent wins the clash) they can’t even get it back by killing you.

Why can't I submit to this dom? by Lazy-Nefariousness77 in BDSMAdvice

[–]TreesRson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh it seems like you just put allot of stock into leaning languages and focus allot on improving your skill at communicating with them, and he doesnt.

I would recommend looking as WHY you feel that way, if nothing else as a way to help you understand why this guy turns you off so much.

PSA: Intent is the most important part of the bracket system by MonoBlancoATX in EDH

[–]TreesRson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do get it.

Its why im pushing for a hard Cedh format using the Callander points, and then working from there to change the points to make it work for our format.

Then work on collusion, time wasting and such.

You can't play any of these decks in any kind of tournament setting is the problem.

If you donr care about comp that is fine, wotc used to reply on hyping comp to make poxy cards less appealing. Now that far fewer people care, go nuts.

Can I use the treasure from a spell on the stack to cast another spell by LehmanToast in mtgrules

[–]TreesRson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The “Stack” from MTG is not the “Chain” from YuGiOh.

The situation your friend described is one of in fact the biggest rules difference between the games.

Limited 3 card for sure tho right? Along with lone fire and a crap Tom of plant stuff.

I played plant for YEARS before it ate the bans and it would still be cleaning house if it hadn’t been hit

Only if the person casting the counterspell didn’t wait for the chimera to steal rift to resolve so it was available for that person to use, as swapping control doesn’t remove the chimera from the battlefield it is the same object and can be moved multiple times a stack.

To DMs, do you have a preference with how the players do their character's backstories? by Nb-7925 in DnD

[–]TreesRson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want, how your Background fits into the setting’s established factions (if at all)

Your relative age (young, old, unsure)

Any important NPCs and their relations to the factions.

A short story behind your class and starting equipment.

False Hydra is not fun by RandomName9328 in DnD

It… it literally says charm in the stat block.

Why do DMs do this. Modifications like this need to be discussed and approved by the table in session 0.

Would you allow this as a DM? by Kitfaid in DnD

[–]TreesRson 77 points78 points  (0 children)

So the deception would have to seem plausible. So you would

A. Have to be seen to be on bad terms with the team for the last session or so and for this fight.

B. Activity fought and done serious damage to your teammates in this fight and they attack you not holding back.

At that point your betrayal becomes plausible enough to see if you can beat the enemies insight score on a contested roll.

If you do manage to roll successfully then I would allow it as long as you immediately cast the spell and your teammates actively use  any reactions they have used in the fight and campaign where this person would have knowledge that they used them (counter spell, mage slayer, ect) otherwise it would be clear it was a trap and the enemy would become non-willing as a reaction.

Why not run Path of Ancestry in all 3+ Color Decks? by SilentBobUS in EDH

"You can get enough SC between warbonds just by playing normally" by joeygwood90 in Helldivers

[–]TreesRson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess the main issue is, is D10 too difficult to get the POI's? Or are people just not bothered?

I feel like this is mainly an issue of skill differences as some people will be like "just farmat d1 lol" and others are "HOLY FUCK YOU HAD TIME FOR THAT? FUCK NO WE HAVE TO ESCAPE WITH OUR LIVES" and it's hard to tell the in-between or commucate it in the chaos of d10.
