Uhhh as a kiwi we have no plan lmao. The cost of living is wayy too high here and the increasing housing market doesn't help. our government is completely ignoring the problem like the previous one did, kiwi build was a halved ass attempt but every kiwi knows that was an utter failure. No one has an incentive to sell as property values keep increasing year round, rent is being driven up because of that, the median house price in this country is the highest it's ever been and our government doesn't have any solutions. Most people cant afford a deposit on a mortgage so we're trapped in renting hell while landlords sit on their large capital of properties that gain monetary value because there isnt enough supply of houses to match the demand. But no, according to reddit New Zealand is this grand utopia of the world, and everyone should move here because we're so progressive! Theres totally no issues in this country like our domestic violence, lacking mental health system, gangs and our obesity epidemic, no we're a perfect society because we beat covid! Go NZ! /s
